Understanding Our Magic

Ani (Hi). We just wanted to say a Chi Miigwetch (Big Thank You) for coming to our shop. We are a mother/ daughter artist business. We get asked about why Inked Scroll Creatives, first we are creatives, second, we are inked, use ink to write our stories and ink to paint our pieces, third, we love scrolls.

We are storytellers and express it through many forms of art. The pen, lens, and brush are extensions of us and help us create unique blends. A lot of our work comes from dreams, experiences, and artist discussions between us. Some of the experiences that shaped who we are as artists and women were growing up on a reservation surrounded by language, culture, and elders. As well as having a close relationship with each other.

At the moment we live on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota which has unpredictable weather and unexpected hidden inspiration. We are blessed to be able to spend so much time together creative and surrounded by our family.

Experiences are the way we journey through life. I have had many unique adventures that have inspired me. I am constantly creating and exploring new expressions of art. Each step I take has been guided by the goal of happiness.

    Artist

I am a young fantasy artist, unique in the way that I see things and act. I am a shy, quiet girl who speaks volumes without saying a lot. I still believe in magic and love its many creatures. I share the magic around us through art.
