Announcement
Welcome to the Old Church Store, historically known as St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1861, a registered Virginia Historic Landmark and a listing in the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. St. Matthew's is located in rural Champlain, Virginia, Occupacia-Rappahannock Rural Historic District, Essex County. It is a one-story, one bay, gable-end-entry, rectangular American and Flemish brick building. It was consecrated in 1870 and served the residents for 100 years, until its conversion to a general store in 1970 to 1990, the Old Church Store. Currently the building is closed for business but remains a historical landmark attraction. Thank you for favoriting our online listings and mostly being like-minded collectors and customers!

My Newfound Platform
I retired in 2021 after teaching 32 years K-12 art and business. As I listen to songs by Bob James, Earl Klugh, Kirk Waylum, and others I’ve been inspired to think more about me and get started on the next creative phase in my life. I started selling my vintage collectibles and antiques on Etsy in 2012 and out of my brick-and-mortar historical building, the Old Church Store, for over 20 years. So here I am writing about me and soon to develop a newfound platform. I plan to sell digital prints of my original watercolor paintings and still life compositions that I will set up with my vintage collectibles and antiques. In the meantime I hope you find interest in my small collection of vintage collectibles and antiques.
