Welcome to Old Crow ArtYarns!

I taught myself to knit while recuperating from a devastating illness and it exploded into a passion that has kept evolving ever since. My illness has taught me that life is very, very short and if there are dreams you have, there is no better time than now to make them a reality. Living this philosophy is what finally led me to trying my hand at dyeing, which I love almost as much as knitting, and what finally led to my dream of having my own shop. I live and create in my home state of Maine and draw much of my inspiration from it's rugged, unique beauty. I knit what I love and dye what I love, and I only hope others love it as much as I do!

Returns and exchanges
Please contact seller with issues regarding refunds. I want happy customers! If you feel you have received a damaged or subpar item, please notify me and I will resolve the issue by refund or replacement. Refunds may be issued if the seller is contacted within 14 days of the receipt of the item. The item must be returned in the condition pictured in the listing. Shipping fees for returning an item will not be refunded. Refunds will not be given unless product is faulty.
Payment
Payment is required at time of purchase via PayPal or Etsy Direct Checkout. Custom orders will have a special listing created and payment will be required prior to the order being filled.
Shipping
Ready to ship yarns and handknit items will be shipped in 3-5 business days. Dyed to order yarns will be shipped within 2-3 weeks.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note my yarns are dyed and my notions are knit in a smoke free, pet friendly home. I have 2 kitties, and while they definitely love yarn, they are kept separate from my shop items. All items, after processing, are immediately stored in plastic and then in a sealed tote to await shipment. I do my best to ensure I can cater to folks with allergies, but please be advised it is not outside the realm of possibility that a stray hair may sneak in - and most likely it will be one of my own!

Please be advised monitor colors do vary. I do my best to capture the true colors of my yarns and all photographs are taken in natural lighting.

These are individually hand painted yarns and may have small variations. That's the beauty of hand dyed yarns! Customers are strongly recommended to ensure they purchase the appropriate amount of yarn for their project.

Be advised that although I do my best to ensure my yarns are rinsed well, there may be a small amount of bleeding in the first washes. This will not affect the other colors, but may discolor any items washed with it. It is recommended all times are handwashed in order to prolong the life of the item.
