We're a homeschooling family with nine wonderful children, living near the edge of nowhere on our homestead in Amish country, Indiana. My husband is a teacher and a part time pastor. I have a teaching degree with an art emphasis. I love to be creative! I also was a home decor specialist for five years helping people make their home a haven! We specialize in hand painted wooden signs and string art. Not only can we create art pieces, we can also assist in color choices and design!

Old House Mercantile is a bit of a family affair. My husband shops for the wood and cuts it when needed. One of our teenage sons occasionally cuts wood and puts the sawtooth hanger on the backs of the signs. Our older daughters paint and stain the wood and also help with packaging. Our oldest daughter creates string art. I design and paint, take care of bookkeeping and customer service. Our middle kiddo wraps and ships the signs to your home!
