Announcement   I am a polymer clay artist who doesn't believe that art should be something you just look at. That's why many of my pieces of art are also functional.

I've worked in various fine art mediums all my life, but ever since I discovered polymer clay in 1997, I haven't been able to put it down!

My sculptures and jewelry are individually hand crafted. Even when I do a series on a theme, no two are exactly alike.

I have a lot of fun creating my pieces and I hope you enjoy them.

They make excellent gifts, as well as wonderful additions to your own art collection, so don't forget to treat yourself too!

Absolutely love my tile. I plan to mount it on a nice piece of wood and hang it on my wall. It is sturdy, weighty and I want to make sure I protect it. I love Olga's work. Always have.

About

It all started with a mouse...

I'm a first generation Puerto Rican New Yorker born and raised in the heart of Spanish Harlem in New York City, and a graduate of The High School of Art & Design.

As a very young child I saw my mom, an artist who put her own artistic career on the back burner to raise a family, sketch a very good Mickey Mouse and begged her to teach me. From that moment I was hooked and knew that I wanted to be, an artist. My father, a Latin music percussionist, instilled in me a love of music, especially drums and a passion for dance.

Although I'm experienced in a variety of fine art techniques, I've chosen to work primarily with polymer clay since discovering it in 1997.

My rich Puerto Rican culture, sense of humor, and love of music strongly influence many of my pieces, and I believe art should be something not only to look at, but to touch and interact with. I design art that is functional and decorative for the home and body, and create fine art sculptures that often depict my cultural heritage. Among the various pieces I create I especially enjoy sculpting portraits, depicting my subjects true, and often times, alter egos, using a variety of polymer clay techniques and mixed media.

I'm also a teaching artist. educating people about my culture through my art and workshops, and I show and sell my art via various venues locally, nationally and internationally.

My other work includes the design and creation of various recognition awards, and costume and prop design for film and stage.

I love working with polymer clay and I'm always experimenting with new techniques and ways to combine it with other mediums!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do!

Abrazos (hugs)!
