5 out of 5 starsBeautiful pattern, easy to follow instructions! This is only my 2nd quilt I’ve ever made, so it’s easy enough for a beginner!

5 out of 5 starsUsed this pattern as a pieced backing for my second-ever quilt. Very easy and fast to piece, perfect for a beginner looking for a modern quilt project. Some pretty gnarly puckering, but that's my fault and not the pattern's--i didn't get it taut enough when making the sandwich.

About HeatherJonesStudio
modern quilting and design
My creative business began as the owner and designer of Olive & Ollie, a small, handmade business that specialized in clothing and accessories for infants and children. I created fresh and modern designs and sold my handmade work in my etsy shop, www.oliveandollie.etsy.com, and at select retail locations throughout the US. Currently, I am not offering many custom children's items, as my business is changing to focus on quilts and patterns.
I am the founder and former president of the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild and I just finished my first line of modern quilting patterns. I am often inspired by everyday places and things that many people wouldn't even notice (think an old metal silo or a painted grid in the parking lot of a big-box retailer), and I'm always excited by the challenge to translate that inspiration into my work. Three of my original quilts were chosen as winners of the Modern Quilt Guild’s Project Modern Challenges, a year-long national quilting competition. I have a great respect for the art of quilt making and I love to bring a modern twist to traditional patterns.
