Hand Dyed Everything, Beautiful Colours, Gorgeous Fibres, Embroidery Threads, Knitting Yarns, Weaving Yarns and Fabrics
My first attempts at dyeing involved a collection of new and old fabrics thrown into a dyebath, just to see what would happen. I still do this from time to time and never cease to be surprised by the results.
Following a City and Guilds in Embroidery and a Diploma in Art and Design (specialising in Textiles and Glass), Oliver Twists was born in 1998. Walter joined me in 2001 and we developed our range of hand dyed machine threads together. He wears many 'hats' and I don't know how I managed without him.
A love of textiles and mixed media makes me continually look for new materials to dye - Silk, Cotton, Viscose, Wool, Nylon, Paper, Wood, Beads, Metal, Plastic, Glass, we've tried it all.
Spending your days surrounded by colour is a nice way to make a living. I wouldn't want to do anything else.
