Announcement   There’s something about the purity of your attention when you behold something that is beautiful. Whether it is the color of a natural thing or a memory that brings you joy; your light shines upon it and it is illuminated by you.

For everything in existence longs to be felt, heard and seen. But when you find it beautiful, you receive as much as you give. It becomes a lingering and satisfying exchange of Being for Beauty.

This is the kind of love that I experience with everything that I create. Every painting is a relationship that is very intimate to me, and maybe, just perhaps, you are a part of it too.

I welcome you to join in on the silent dialogue of Being for Beauty and see if it elevates you. And if it takes you further into your own supply of love, then this work of art was made for you.

About

Joy and Love for Painting

ABOUT ME

My name is Danielle Olivyea Christian. I am an oil painter, in love with nature's vibrant color-- especially fragrant flowers! I am also a musician, writer and transformational healer. I live on Whidbey Island in Washington with my little boy, Dante.

Painting is the magical, beautiful gift that has blessed my life with so much joyful expression over the years. I have an eye for life-like portraits and capturing dynamic light. I can feel flowers and trees calling me to paint them. I answer the call as often as I am able!

I started painting for the first time in high school. Before that, my parents kept the shelves stocked with drawing supplies for my three younger sisters and me to keep busy. (We were allowed little to no TV). This was my training ground. Family was my critique group. We created both music and art. What a wonderful way to grow up!

My first attempt with oil paints was a disaster, as was my second. I didn't think it would take. But somehow, I discovered how to complete paintings quickly in spite of the super slow drying time.

My work is often seen framed with hand crafted or carved woodwork. Lately, I enjoy purchasing plain, unfinished wood frames and giving them a shabby/antique feel using chalk paint and gold foil. This is SO fun.

I have displayed my work mainly in Ventura and Temecula of southern California. Currently my paintings are on display at various locations on Whidbey Island. I have sold countless pieces to happy collectors across the United States and beyond. Nearly all of my portraits have been commissioned by word of mouth referrals. So if you know someone who would love my art, please pass the word along!

Thank you for visiting my art gallery and taking in the joy and love of my paintings.

FOR NON-CUSTOM ORDERS: If for any reason you are not happy with the artwork or it isn't what you expected, you may return it for a full refund. Returns will only be accepted if you contact me within 72 hours and the return package is postmarked within 7 days of having received it. The artwork must be returned in perfect condition (or the same condition as when you received it)-- so package very carefully, get tracking and insure!!!!! Customer is responsible for shipping cost. No refunds will be issued for paintings damaged or lost during shipping.

CUSTOM ORDERS:
Custom painting sales are final. I go to great lengths to make sure you get the painting of your dreams. Before I paint I provide sketches unless you supply a photo for me to work from and then I send you photos of the work during the process, so you can influence my progress. In this way, I have created lovely works for many happy customers. If for some reason the finished result is not to your liking (even after having seen photos of the finished work in advance), you may return the artwork for me to work on further at an additional cost.

CANCELLATION OF CUSTOM REQUESTS STILL IN PROGRESS: $150 Design Fee is non-refundable once a custom painting order has been placed. In the unlikely event that you decide to cancel your painting before it has been completed, after time and materials have already been invested into its creation, up to 1/2 of the total cost of the painting may be non-refundable in proportion to the work that has already been done. I say this only as a precaution, since I have never actually needed to employ this policy.
