About

Do what you love and love what you do

We're Eli and Rach! Nice to meet you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once upon a time, Eli was holding one ball of yarn and two knitting needles – and a dream. Eli distinctly remembers learning to knit. Her mum sat her down one day when she was little and showed her the magic. Eli had – has – tiny hands that could barely hang onto everything at once; she ended up learning by holding the two needles out from under her arms … and hoping for the best. The best turned out to be a series of breathtaking knots that would scare even a Boy Scout. Onana has come a long way since then ;)
People have dreams. No matter who you are, at one point you saw something or thought of something that you deemed it would be AWESOME to do (yes, note the CAPS ;) – we’re talking the top level of awesomeness here). For us, this meant creating something from nothing. It meant weaving the comforting coziness of brightly-coloured yarns into something simply adorable – and adorably simple.
Onana has grown beyond just keeping your tea warm. We believe in creating something handmade in a manufactured world so that every imperfection is perfect because it was made by two hands that are full of love and have *you* – and no one else – in mind.
What we do is not just about the fact that Eli has more yarn than clothes or that Rach is now an expert social media master. It’s not about the fact that Eli flashes 100-Watt grins at the weird looks she gets when she knits on transit or that Rach knows our Onana-meeting sushi order by heart. It’s about the fact that two girls took a leap of faith and crossed the threshold to live out their bright yellow dream – and the world around them embraced it all. We thank you for that!
From one Onana-lover to another, we say “Do what you love and love what you do.”
This Is Our Shop!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Like all creative folks, we find inspiration in our everyday lives. Maybe it’s something someone doodled on the textbook before us, maybe it’s something we saw while window shopping downtown… From there, Eli pulls together the perfect colour palette for the Snug. She designs the teabag tag on paper first and then hand-embroiders the design onto felt. Once the Snug is fully assembled, Rach takes over, producing the product photography, listing and social media so you can see what we’re up to!

Full Custom: You will be able to choose all of the options to customize from the list above for an additional $5.00 fee.

Our standard sized Snug Mug will fit an 11 oz. mug and our standard sized Snug Sleeve will fit a tall/grande/venti to-go coffee cup.

You are as much a part of the creation of your Snug as we are. Please be aware that custom orders are special. Because of this, the sale of these items will be final.

***PAYMENT METHODS***
We accept PayPal and Credit Card (through PayPal) payments.

If we do not receive a payment within 3 business days of the initial order date (unless you have contacted us with a valid explanation as to why the payment was not made), we reserve the right to cancel your order. We will always make several attempts to contact you prior to the cancellation of any order.

***CANCELLING AN ORDER***
Unsure about what you want to order? Please feel free to contact the Knitting Fairy first so we can get your Snug just right :) If you do need to cancel an order, please do so within 3 business days of when the order was placed if you want to get a full refund.

***TRACKING & SHIPPING INSURANCE***
If you wish to put tracking on your package please message us prior to your purchase so that we can adjust shipping costs accordingly. Any extra costs associated with tracking is passed to you, the customer. That being said, the Knitting Fairy highly recommends putting tracking on your purchase to ensure that your Snug arrives safely to your doorstep.

As the Snugs travel from our home to yours, it is possible that items may be lost or damaged while in transit. If this happens, message us and we will try our best to work out a resolution with Canada Post on your behalf. However, we are not responsible for any Snugs lost in transit that have no tracking.

***SHIPPING PRICES***
Please be aware that shipping prices are subject to change based on prices listed by Canada Post.

***RUSH ORDERS***
If you have a specific deadline to meet, you can place a rush order for an additional $5.00/Snug (if you are local to British Columbia, Canada) or $10.00/Snug (everywhere else) in addition to the cost of the cozy. Your order is considered a rush order if you need your item within two weeks of the purchase date.
Refunds and Exchanges
***REFUND POLICY***
We stand by the quality of our product as we ourselves are proud Snug owners.

Ready made items can be returned for a full refund (minus shipping) if the items are unused and unwashed within 60 days of the date you received your order. Custom items are final sale unless there is an obvious defect in the product.

***MANUFACTURING DEFECTS***
If there is a defect in the product (e.g. loose embroidery on the teabag tag or a hole in your Snug), message us within 60 days of the date you received your order with a photo of the defect. Once we review and approve your claim, ship the item back to us and we will repair the affected items plus ship it back to you free of charge.

If you are not satisfied with your Snug purchase for any other reason, please feel free to message us and we will do our best to address your concerns.
Additional policies and FAQs

***BULK/WHOLESALE ORDERS***
