    Formerly known as One Rusty Nail, we've decided to take a new direction in our adventure. Beginning in late 2017, our new shop, Awaken Gemini, will be featuring both vintage AND handmade treasures of eclectic taste. Please stay tuned for news and updates!

    Inspired by our love of vintage treasures and appreciation for unique home decor, we opened One Rusty Nail on Etsy in 2012 to share some of our best finds with the world. Over the course of five years, we've connected hundreds of timeless pieces with new owners.

    Along the way, our shop has been featured across many print and digital publications, including Apartment Therapy, The Glitter Guide, Westchester Wedding Planner Magazine, the Ohio Glass Museum, Steepster, Etsy's front page, and more!

    Our favorite styles include rustic farmhouse fancy, shabby cottage chic, mid-century modern, and Hollywood regency. Every item in our shop is a reflection of our taste and values, and we only sell things we'd be proud to feature in our own home!

    The following items can't be returned or exchanged
    Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
    • Custom or personalized orders
    • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
    • Digital downloads
    • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
    Returns and exchange details
    ► DAMAGED (INSURED) ITEMS: If your order arrives damaged, please let us know promptly so that we can file an insurance claim. We require a photo of the damaged item and of the packaging materials as they appeared when the box was unpacked. Your photos must be received prior to beginning an insurance claim or issuing a refund.

    Shipping costs are paid to USPS for their services provided and will not be included in your refund. Again, we do NOT refund shipping costs, even if your damaged item was insured.

    If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us immediately so we can make it right!
    ► SHIPPING COST TOO HIGH? Please contact us with your Zip code prior to purchase to see if there's a cheaper alternative. We love to lower shipping costs if possible - but it must be done before placing your order.

    ► INSURANCE IS IMPORTANT. Select shop items include insurance automatically (typically items of $30+ value). If insurance is already included, it will be clearly stated in the listing's "Shipping Info" section.

    ► INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE for all domestic shipments. If the term "insurance included" is NOT already stated in the listing, we strongly encourage you to contact us PRIOR to purchase to add insurance if you believe it's necessary. We do NOT offer refunds for uninsured items damaged in transit.


    Each item's listing page clearly states its method of shipment: USPS Priority, Parcel Select, First Class, etc. All domestic shipments include tracking. Exceptionally valuable shipments may include Signature Confirmation.


    International orders weighing under 4 lbs. are shipped via First Class International (one to two weeks delivery). Orders over 4 lbs. (or oversized box dimensions) must ship via Priority Mail (about one week delivery). Shipping methods are stated in each item's listing page.

    Insurance is available for select international shipping services. If you wish to include insurance on your order, please contact us PRIOR to purchase. We are not responsible for uninsured items damaged in transit.

    We fill out all Customs forms with accurate and true information (i.e. "merchandise", not "gift"), so any costs that me be incurred upon arrival, such as duties or taxes, are the responsibility of the buyer. We are not responsible for delays due to items being held in Customs.

    International orders may be tracked through the Customs Declaration number, but tracking is not guaranteed. Once your package leaves the USA, we cannot be responsible for its tracking, handling, and transit duration.

    At this time, we DO NOT SHIP TO the following countries: Libya, Cuba, Syria, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, or Ukraine.


    We offer direct gift shipping service! If your order is intended as a gift, please indicate it as such in the "Note To Seller" field at Checkout. All gift orders are shipped with colorful tissue paper and packing materials coordinated to the item, if available.

    We encourage you to provide the "To" and "From" information, along with a little personal message, at Checkout as well. This bit of info will be printed and placed in a small gift card with the shipment.


    We're always happy to combine shipping on multiple items! Please message us with your Zip code and the name of the items you intend to combine for a custom shipping quote prior to purchase.

    We take pride in shipping our items tightly wrapped and secured so that nothing is damaged in transit. In an effort to be "green" and promote a sustainable marketplace, we use recycled boxes and packing materials whenever possible.

    If an order is returned to us by the postal system as being "undelivered" or "unclaimed", we expect the buyer to assume responsibility for lost shipping costs. (If you would like us to re-send the package, you are responsible for paying shipping fees again. If we are not able to arrange re-shipment in a timely manner, we will issue a refund to you, minus original shipping fees, and re-list the item in our shop.)

    As with the nature of any vintage item, there may be signs of past use or wear. We do our best to list any imperfections in an individual item's listing details, but please keep in mind that the majority of what we sell has been previously owned and used.

    If you are unsure of an item's condition or have specific questions not addressed in the listing, please ask for more information or photos prior to purchase.

    We strive to deliver high quality items in good functional, usable, working condition, but our vintage items are all sold on an AS IS basis, with no warranty or guarantee implied.

    We do our best to thoroughly inspect, research, and accurately represent our vintage items, but in some cases, the information we provide about an item's age or origin cannot be guaranteed.
