About

Changing the World One Recycled Robot at a Time

From recycled and found objects—those things lurking in garage boxes and collecting dust on thrift store shelves—comes the artwork of Remnants by RJ.

Since 2008, my love of abandoned relics has become an obsession, resulting in a stockpile of dismantled metal awesomeness. But those pieces have a way of reassembling themselves in rather unexpected ways.

Clocks, canisters, and metal bits often litter my workshop surfaces. After trial-and-error limb and head transfusions, a robot takes shape. With a little post-surgery drilling and bolting, their personalities emerge to tell stories yet unheard.

I find myself creating characters full of quirks and individuality. As a creative writer, I enjoy naming each robot and writing short bios for most of them. You don't get just a piece of art--you get a new friend, with a whole lot of charisma.

Upon their release back into society, each robot seeks to infect others with imagination and eventually change the way people see the world.

I view the world differently. I see personality in everyday objects. I do not change what already is. I change the way you see it. Since 2008.

All robots are reassembled from recycled parts in an effort to create sustainable, ecological art from post-consumer waste. Each robot seeks to infect other with imagination and eventually change the way people see the world.

As a recycled robot creator, I strive to make one-of-a-kind artwork, so be assured your purchase will be of the highest quality and will have its own unique qualities.
