5 out of 5 starsThis stuff is wonderful! No scent, and feels so soft on the skin, almost silky, but not greasy at all. It’s perfect for dry hands when working with wool. Great job, Colleen! Love this! (Let me know if you ever start making some scented with essential oils 😉)

OooDolls
Hi, I'm Colleen. Welcome to my wonderful world of "OooDolls".
I was born with a yearning to create. I loved arts and crafts from my early days. My training in decorative and fine arts has allowed me to express myself through my dolls.
As a child I painted and created things with my hands. I’m continually amazed at what one can make from found materials, things on-hand and around the house.
My first doll was made from a stuffed sock with yarn hair, glued-on buttons and bits of left over lace from my mother’s sewing kit, and a face painted with a magic marker.
Today, it’s a different story.
It began the Christmas of 2013 when my husband and I visited our good friends Davy and Elizabeth on Pender Island, BC. I noticed a cute little doll propped up against a window with a familiar texture. I didn’t know what it was made out of or called but it triggered memories from my past.
When I was young I had a favorite book about a princess and a white swan. The illustrations are from photos of the princess, a doll with a texture identical to the one Elizabeth had made. I always wondered what that texture was until Elizabeth told me that it was a needle felting doll. That was my inspiration and this body of work arose from it.
Thank you, Elizabeth!
I’ve assembled a series of ballerina dolls with cute pointy ballet shoes, fun dresses and heads of colorful hair. Each one I make inspires other designs and I’ll add new series to this site - I won’t repeat older designs - I have too many new ones in mind. Each of my dolls represents a unique idea brought to life.

There's no other way to say how much I love making dolls but to just make it whether it sells or not. With my background with Decorative and Fine Art, I eased into the world of needle felt smoothly. I don't think i'll ever stop creating dolls.
