A second purchase from this lovely shop. I asked Siobhan if she would be able to make a bracelet to match a necklace I'd previously purchased and was delighted that she agreed - couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent service and super-quick delivery. Highly recommended. Many thanks!

Delighted with my order - just what I was looking for. The colours are bright and the stones are big enough to be noticed but not too chunky - just perfect. Beautifully packaged and promptly dispatched. Many thanks.

I used fine silver wire and a single glass bead to create every individual link for this necklace.
I like the simplicity of the glass and the lovely colours. It was quite therapeutic making link after link and very pleasing to put them all together! :)

About

Handmade gemstone jewellery inspired by the past.

Hi there!

I live and work in Leicestershire, have a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology and I was an Archaeologist for 10 years until 2011 when I decided to leave my job and spend some time thinking about my next journey in life. I discovered my creativity with jewellery making and gemstones, combined this with my interest in ancient history and archaeology and opened a shop on Etsy - Voila!

After a year of being on Etsy, I got myself a full time job and had to devote my concentration on that as it was a bit of a learning curve! I'm still working in the same job which I enjoy, and early 2016 will see me get back into creating jewellery, reopen my Etsy store and balace that with my full time job.

With Gemstone Orchid I express myself creatively with no boundaries, and incorporate my love of archaeology, ancient civilizations and ancient history into my work and create unique pieces of jewellery. My inspiration also comes from having travelled to many countries and throughout the UK with my notebook, taking notes, photographs and sketches from countless museum exhibitions I have visited over the years.

I look forward to rejuvinating my Etsy store, keeping it fresh and introducing new items and new lines of jewellery - I already have great ideas in the pipeline.

Please enjoy! :)
