I asked her to adjust one of her designs a little bit to add a piece of clothing from my grandma (who passed Feb 2020) on 10 ornaments and they are AMAZING. Everyone in my family who got one was super touched and loved them. Faith was super kind and understanding during all of my questioning and requests, she was in constant communication with me and always very quick to reply, she was sympathetic to my situation, and I absolutely love her! Can't recommend her work enough!!

Ordinary Mommy Design was established in 2008 when I was looking for well-made hair clips for my daughter. Unable to find pieces that met my expectations, I mixed my love of hand-stitching with quality wool blend felts and began to work on designing original patterns.
Since then Ordinary Mommy Design has grown to focus largely on heirloom-quality home décor pieces. Each piece is stitched or knotted by hand without the use of adhesives. It is such a personal thing for me to place each and every stitch or knot with my own two hands, and I treasure that connection with my clients.
I am passionate about sourcing components manufactured under fair labor practices; buying American-made components not only ensures that, but is also great for the economy. I am proud to use wool blend felt that is manufactured in America, and the cord found in my macrame pieces is made right here in Pennsylvania.
My work space is in the heart of my home, at the table. One of the (many) wonderful things about hand stitching however, is that I can pick it up and go. This means that some pieces are created from the couch, some in the backyard, and still others at the homes of family members or friends. My making is done surrounded by my children, husband, and loved ones. And very rarely during a quiet stolen moment all to myself.

Please note that Pennsylvania residents will be assessed 6% sales tax upon checkout.
Shipping
I ship in 5-8 business days upon receipt of payment; your receipt will indicate a "shipping by" date.
All packages shipping within the US include a tracking number. Parcels containing more than $75 in goods will be shipped with insurance. If you need your package mailed quickly please let me know and I will try and accommodate you!
It is important that you DOUBLE CHECK the shipping address associated with your order to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
PLEASE BE AWARE that items shipping internationally may be subject to tariffs, and are the responsibility of the buyer. Also note that countries in the European Union may be assessed additional costs due to VAT (tax): your parcel may be held at the postal depot until this tax is paid, so please check with them if your parcel is late in arriving. Unfortunately, this is not in my control, and all taxes incurred are the responsibility of the buyer.

All paper shred used in shipping orders is 100% recycled and made in America. Please reuse or recycle it again!
When placing an order for custom work, payment is required in advance and I will send a photo of the completed piece for approval before it is shipped.

Can I request custom colors to match my color scheme?
Absolutely! Send me a convo with details. A picture or mood board is very helpful.
Can you make my bunting/flags in a custom size?
Yes! Feel free to get in touch with your desired sizing.
Can I add the year to the back of my ornament?
Sure thing! Most ornaments can accommodate the year on the back. There is an embroidery upgrade available with most ornament listings. If the ornament you want to purchase does not have an upgrade option, please feel free send me a convo before purchasing and I will set up a custom listing for you!
Can I receive color samples to help me choose?
Of course! I know how difficult it can be to select colors from a computer screen. I offer 1-inch felt samples mailed to your home so that you can see the colors in person before committing. Contact me for more information!
