Announcement   Hi! I'm another stay-at-home mum on Etsy. I've been been running an online shop (Organic-Ally) in the UK for some years, selling reusable organic cotton hankies, table napkins, cosmetic pads, string bags, etc. Anything to help us dispense with a disposable lifestyle, really.

More recently I've been wanting to do something more creative with these very plain hankies and table napkins. So I have. Who knows? It might encourage even more to choose the reusable rather than disposable way.

The fabric for the table napkins, gift bags and gift tags here are made with Fairtrade organic cotton (ie pesticide-free), dyed and handloomed by members of a Co-Operative (KV Kuppam) in India, and certified by Agrocel. The Hankettes organic cotton for hankies imported from Canada are certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The fabric for the made-in-UK flannel hankies is certified by the Soil Association.

I do the embroidery and sewing myself at home (smoke-free, pet-free) when my son is at school, and when I'm not doing some voluntary community work: helping to run the school Uniform Shop, helping to run a community parent-and-toddler group (which many mothers find really helpful) and assessing needs at the local Citizens Advice Bureau.

I hope to add a few more 'innovative' items soon. Come back to visit often.

Do note I am an awful photographer.

So cute! Love these hankies! Arrived very promptly too - ordered 3pm and they arrived the next day. Would definitely buy from this seller again.

Richard Branson is my role model.... It's true. I've been looking for my own Tubular Bells (spelling?) to make a start in business. I found organic cotton hankies. Change the world and make a million, billion, trillion .... OK, so far it's only been "change the world", one hankie, one table napkin, one string bag at a time!!

I only sell items that are eco-friendly and ethically-sourced, whether or not they carry the Fairtrade mark. Organic cotton is the main material used presently. I am hoping to include other types of fabric when these become available to 'small people'.

Conventional cotton is used when there are no alternatives (like have you ever seen organic cotton ribbon any where?). So I have to use rayon thread, for example, in the embroidery.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I only accept payment by PayPal. This means you could buy with any debit/credit card: you do not require a PayPal account in order to use this method. Please pay as soon as possible.

However UK buyers who prefer to pay by cheque are welcome to contact me.
Shipping
I ship via Royal Mail, usually:
$2.00 (UK)
$4.00 (Rest of the World)
or as close to cost of shipping and packaging as possible.

Items that require a trip to the Post Office will only be shipped on Tuesdays and Friday to reduce car use.

I try to use minimal packaging. Some salvaged packaging is used.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will exchange faulty items, preferably within seven days of receipt.
