Southeast Asia's mountains, islands, cities and farmlands are home of ancient and dynamic cultures, an amazing blend of people, their craft traditions and the intrinsic simplicity and sustainability of their native lifestyles.

The region is also the stage of intense urbanization and industrialization, all followed by a huge chain of social and environmental impacts. Old indigenous knowledges are dying with the elders in every community. The landscape is increasingly congested by air pollution, plastics and industrial waste, while food and water are being contaminated by city sewage and chemicals from conventional agriculture.

OrientalBazar Studio was born in Thailand in 2013 facing these complex times and aiming to be part of positive transformations as a conscious business. Since the beginning we source and design sustainable and ethnic products, safeguarding handmade traditions. We offer crafted goods and shopping experiences as a bridge of inspiration and heritage beyond the mass consumerism of modern times.

In 2020 we started a new phase in our business creating a socio-environmental project as the main goal of our yearly plan. Purchasing from us you will be helping the development and care of a bamboo forest in Thailand!

• All orders shipped via Standard or Express Airmail are subject to a RETURN SHIPPING FEE charged by the shipping carrier company in case of delivery issues due to wrong address, no recipient available, no authorized person to receive the parcel, unclaimed parcel or no payment of Customs taxes.

• Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and any occasional re-importation duty fees and taxes.

• When you return an item, please be sure to send it back in its original condition. Any loss in value will be responsibility of the buyer.

NOTE: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Please understand that the shipping costs are not refunded to us by the carrier even if items are returned.

Shipping
*** Due to the new outbreak of COVID-19 delays in delivery can be expected for Standard Shipping. The Express Shipping is being dispatched and delivered within our normal time frames for most countries. Please check the updated notes on the front page of the shop ***

• Please make sure your shipping address on Etsy is updated, that is the address we will use.

• Processing time for items in stock is 1 to 3 business days after purchase. We will do our best to dispatch as quickly as possible.

• You can select the default Standard Airmail Shipping (Thailand Post + National Carrier of the destination country) or choose to upgrade to Express Shipping (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.)

• Items marked as FREE SHIPPING will be dispatched via the Standard Airmail. Please note that in case of return of this kind of item the actual shipping fee charged by the carrier will not be refunded.

• Estimated delivery time worldwide is:
- 10 to 25 days for Standard Airmail Shipping
- 5 to 10 days for Express Shipping

• Once your order is dispatched and you receive a tracking number please keep track of your order and contact the responsible carrier company for inquiries regarding delivery, re-delivery or customs payment. For better tracking the order we advise registering for notifications in the carrier’s tracking website.

• Customs fees and Import taxes are NOT included in the costs and are responsibility of the buyer. You may check with the Customs authorities of your country to know if your order is subject to import tax payments or not. By default and due to the international shipping requirements we DO include invoices with all parcels (including the ones marked as GIFT).

• If an order is returned to us due to non-payment of Customs duties/fees we are unable to refund the original shipping cost and the cost of returning the package to us.

• All orders shipped via Standard and Express Airmail are subject to a RETURN SHIPPING FEE charged by the carrier company in case of delivery issues due to wrong address, no recipient available, no authorized person to receive the parcel, unclaimed parcel or non-payment of customs taxes.

• Shipping costs include packaging, labor and handling fees. We will be very careful when packing your product, making sure everything is sent in perfect conditions.

• Orders with multiple items can often be combined to decrease the shipping price. This is available upon request before the purchase confirmation. Please contact us informing the exact products, optional, quantities and the destination country and we will let you know what shipping discounts are available.

• Occasional Customs hold ups, weather issues or holidays may cause delays but most orders arrive within the aforementioned time frame.

CLAIMS

• Please report any damage or shortage claims no later than 5 days from receipt of order.
Notice of loss or damage must be given to the carrier company immediately. The faster an issue is reported the faster it can be solved.

• All packing materials and receiving paperwork should be retained for carrier inspection. It is advised to take photos of the parcel when delivered as a proof of the delivery condition.

• If you are experiencing a delay please contact your local carrier as soon as possible and let them know your tracking number. We strongly advise you to register your email in the tracking website of the carrier responsible for your order to receive updates of any delivery activity.

• Goods that return to Thailand due to failed delivery attempts (wrong address, nobody home to sign for a package, package refused, unclaimed, etc.) will be held by the Thailand Post without notification to the buyer until there is a request from the buyer.

• Notice of non-delivery of an order must be given to us within 180 days after the purchase date. After this date we will no longer be able to issue a refund nor request more shipping details from the carrier company.

Can you combine items to be shipped together and reduce shipping costs?

In most cases we are able to combine items in the same box and the shipping costs can be reduced. Just contact us before purchasing informing your location and the items and quantities you are interested in and we will get back to you with accurate shipping rates.

If the item has options such as size, lamp kit type, etc., please remember to include these in your message since they affect the total weight and therefore affect shipping costs.

How long does shipping take? Do you offer Express shipping?

Shipping time varies from country to country but it generally takes from 10 to 25 days for delivery worldwide by Standard Air Mail — our default category.

Estimated delivery time for Express Shipping (DHL, FedEx or other courier companies) is 3 to 10 days.

Do you provide a tracking number? How do I track my order?

All our items are shipped registered, meaning they all have a tracking number.

The tracking number is embedded on an Etsy e-mail you receive when your order is shipped. To track your item(s) simply click on the button in that e-mail. If limited information or no tracking information is available you may copy the tracking number found on that page and paste it on the following website: http://www.17track.net

The amount of information on the tracking system varies for each shipping category and from country to country. For some countries you can track every movement of your order from when it leaves us until it reaches you. For other countries such as Canada and Australia, often you can only track it until it leaves Thailand.
