From Traditional Retail Associate to Etsy Shop Owner
After working nearly a decade in various traditional brick and mortar retail customer service / sales associate roles, I was able to quit work and focus full time on my fiance and son in 2010, and plan our "DIY" wedding.
A month before our wedding, in April 2011, I started my shop with my Personalized Monogram Cufflinks listing, using my husband's cufflinks from the wedding as my "prototype" for photographs. My first jewelry listing was actually the earrings I had made for myself for our wedding. I quickly grew my Etsy shop from there! I now try to keep over 200 active listings, while expanding my products and evolving into more complicated and unique designs.
I currently utilize Swarovski Crystallized elements, Czech Glass beads, titanium & stainless steel findings, and nickel-free plated metals. In the very near future, I plan to expand into Precious Metal Clay, gold and silver filled metals, more elaborate gemstones, metalworking, and more designs utilizing resin.
All of my crafting ability is God given. It has been developed solely through art classes taken through grade school and finishing in high school. I have also gained quite a bit of knowledge from my ten years as a Girl Scout, and just by experimenting with different mediums and ideas.
My "Bermuda Blue" Swarovski collection garners quite a bit of attention while doing local Craft Shows. This collection is quite special to me - I decided to craft with these crystals in honor of my best friend's mother, Ruth, who passed away due to ALS aka Lou Gehrig's disease just a few years ago. I donate part of the proceeds to the yearly Youngstown Walk to Defeat ALS to raise funds to find a cure for this 100% fatal disease.
I am currently entering my fourth year of undergraduate studies, attending full time pursuing a Sociology degree with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Owner, Maker, Designer, Customer Service
I currently attend college full time, currently working on a Master's Degree in Sociology. I volunteer with our local anti-human trafficking coalition.
My name is Molly, and I handcraft my shop's items in my home. Everything handmade is my original design and creation, from selecting beads and ribbon, to applying the finishing touches. Anything vintage I have hand picked for sale and examined for quality and any defects which may be present.
I try my best to describe each item in detail through photos and in the description.
I am always happy to create custom or large quantity orders, please convo me for information!
Bulk orders of 5 or more of the same item are entitled to receive a 10% discount -- convo me to set up your custom listing to receive your discount!
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
-- Credit Card through Etsy Direct Checkout
-- Etsy Gift Cards.
I do not accept cash, check, or money order for Etsy purchases.
Allow extra shipping transit time for Post Office holidays, weekends, and inclement weather.
Certain items, such as those utilizing bezel cups and resin, require more time before shipment, especially during busier seasons (before Christmas, and in the spring time).
If you are in a hurry, please message me about rushing your order *before* ordering! If I am not notified, and prior arrangements made, orders generally go out in the order they were received!
For your convenience, there are a two listings to upgrade shipping speed: one for Priority shipping and one for Express shipping. One of these listings may be purchased in addition to your items to upgrade your shipping speed. This does not apply to processing time, which in many cases cannot be sped up (such as for the monogram cufflinks / tie tacks).
If your custom order is for a wedding or other special event, please let me know the date of your event so I can be sure to get it to you in plenty of time!
I ship via USPS with delivery confirmation (tracking number will be provided via PayPal and/or Etsy for your convenience). Etsy may not always have the most up-to-date tracking information -- make sure to visit USPS.com to get the most current tracking information.
I generally re-use packing material (bubble mailers, boxes, bubble wrap, etc). If you need the item to be shipped in a new box or bubble mailer, please let me know when you send your payment!
Unless otherwise notified, items will be shipping in the same jewelry box. If you are purchasing several items to be gifted to several different people, please include instructions on how items are to be gift boxed, otherwise you will only receive as many jewelry boxes as it takes to safely ship your purchases (sometimes only one or two at most).
I am willing to ship to an address other than your own for gift giving purposes. Please contact me BEFORE purchasing to make arrangements as there may be a difference in shipping costs or additional information required. Buyer is responsible for any and all differences in shipping cost when making a request for shipping to an address other than their own.
Buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
I do not mark customs forms with "gift" as this is against the law - please do not ask!
Please be patient as sometimes international shipping takes a bit of time!
Refunds and Exchanges
The term "incorrect" refers to qualities such as wrong color (pink instead of blue, ex.), size (8mm instead of 10mm, ex.), or quantity (1 instead of 2, ex).
If the item is described as being blue, 10mm, and in a quantity of 2, and you receive an item that is blue, 6mm, and in a quantity of 2, then this would be an example of "incorrect".
Please read the listing CAREFULLY before ordering - descriptions of the color, size, and quantity will be included in each listing! Please ask questions about specific qualities before ordering if you are unsure! I cannot be held responsible for misconceptions.
In order to receive a refund, returned item *must* be packaged in any packaging originally sent (such as the kraft jewelry boxes). If item is not sent in original packaging (EX. the small kraft jewelry boxes in which I ship items), buyer will receive a replacement item ONLY.
Shipping fees are non-refundable.
This is my general policy, but may be adapted due to unique situations revolving around each individual item.
Please keep in mind that every handcrafted item is a unique piece and while it may not match the item's picture "exactly", it will be crafted with the same, if not better, quality supplies and procedures. I will never ship a lesser quality item than what is pictured.
Also please note that while I try my best to accurately represent colors in photographs, due to differences in monitors, colors may vary in person from how they appear online.
***A Special Note about my Stud Earrings:***
All of my titanium stud earrings, two part cuff links, bobby pins, tie tacks and parts of my hair bows are assembled using jewelry grade adhesive. It is extremely strong, flexible, and water-resistant. A small amount of adhesive may appear on the backside of the pearl or cabochon. If this adhesive is pulled on, cut away or otherwise disturbed, the earring/cufflink/bobby pin will disassemble. Each earring sits for 48-72 hours to ensure that the adhesive has properly cured and I "test" each earring using normal pressure to ensure that the pearl or cabochon will not come off of the earring finding before I ship them. If you think that you (or your gift recipient) may be inclined to pick at the adhesive used in the assembly of these earrings, these may not be the earrings for you!
The resin rose / resin camellia / Freshwater Pearl / Swarovski flatback / Swarovski pearl earrings are NOT meant to be worn while sleeping or bathing/swimming. My wire-wrapped post earrings are durable enough to withstand months of constant wear -- my titanium and stainless steel earrings made with jeweler's adhesive are NOT. They WILL fall apart if worn while sleeping or exposed to water for longer than a few days. Please take them out when showering/bathing/swimming or sleeping. I am NOT responsible for damages resulting from constant wear under these conditions past the initial 7 day return period.***
The current titanium post earrings that I sell are ASTM Grade 1 Titanium Posts with Surgical Stainless Steel Pads. The ear clutches are stainless steel. If you believe that you may have an allergic reaction to the stainless steel -- please DO NOT purchase these earrings! I cannot be responsible for an allergic reaction due to the wearing of these earrings with a known metal allergy that encompasses stainless steel!
Several of my listings include the option for a fully titanium post earring - if you have any hesitation at all about an allergy to stainless steel, then you should opt to upgrade to a full titanium post earring.
Additional policies and FAQs
All custom items and bulk orders will be available for the buyer's purchase as a separate listing created just for you.
While Swarovski has switched to a lead free formula as of September 2012, Swarovski Crystallized Elements produced before this date are LEADED crystals - they may not be suitable for children who are inclined to stick things in their mouths!
