***SHIPPING ESTIMATES***

Shipping estimates can be found on the listing. If you enter your zip code it will calculate the estimate for you 😊

The estimated delivery date is based on your purchase date, the recipient's location, the seller's processing time and location, and the shipping carrier (always USPS). Other factors—like placing an order on a weekend or a holiday—may end up pushing the arrival of your item beyond the estimated delivery date. It's our hope that your item gets where it's going as soon as possible, but given the factors involved, this is only an estimate.


***RUSH PROCESSING & SHIPPING***

We do NOT offer rush personalization processing under any circumstances. If you would like your ornaments sent blank we can have them in the mail for you the next day if you write to us via Etsy after your purchase to let us know.

You may choose Priority Mail at checkout, but that will only change the shipping time (time in the mail) and not the processing time (the time it takes for us to personalize). If you really need your ornament by the time frame given in the estimate you should absolutely upgrade to Priority Mail. It is so much more reliable than First Class.

Do you make the ornaments? Can you change the color or make a special ornament for me?

No, we do not make the ornaments. The handmade aspect of these ornaments is the personalization, which is done by hand.

I am sending a gift directly to the recipient, how do I let you know?

Check the "This order includes a gift" box on the last page of checkout.

Be sure to let us know what you would like written on your enclosure card in addition to your personalization instructions.

Can I add a pet to my ornament?

Sure! There are two ways to accomplish this:

1. Use the ‘Add a Pet’ listing, found here:

These are tiny little stick-on animals that are adhered to the ornament to represent your furry friend.

2. Choose a family ornament with enough extra members to accommodate your pets. A paw print can be personalized along with the name to denote their four-legged status. Be sure to indicate in your personalization notes which names correspond to the paw prints. See an example here:

How do I pluralize my family name?

Great question!

According to Grammar Girl, in most cases you just add an “S,” no apostrophe necessary.

Example:
Mochrie becomes Mochries
Kennedy becomes Kennedys

For names that end in "s," “x,” "z," “ch,” and “sh,” you must add an “ES.” Example:

Jones = Joneses
Fox = Foxes
Alvarez = Alvarezes
Church = Churches
Ash = Ashes

You can always avoid that whole mess by keeping the family name singular!

Do you combine shipping?

Yes!

Shipping prices are automatically calculated based on weight. After you add all items to your cart you will see an updated combined shipping rate.

If you are ordering many items (8 or more) please contact me if your shipping cost seems high. After your order has been completed, we may be able to refund some of the shipping overcharge.

Do you guarantee Christmas Delivery?

No, we cannot guarantee that your ornament will arrive in time for Christmas. Ornaments in the Green makes every effort to get your order out the door in a timely manner, but once it has left our hands it is up to the USPS to deliver it safely and on time.

During the busy season (November and December) you can check the shop announcement for an up-to-date estimate of processing time (the time it takes to personalize your ornament), then use the following as a reference to calculate the likelihood of your ornament arriving before the big day:

First Class Mail: Delivery in 3-6 business days
Priority Mail: Delivery in 1-3 business days

Do you offer rush orders or express shipping?

So sorry, but we do not.

I received my order and it was broken or there was a misspelling.

Have no fear! Contact me right away via Etsy and your new ornament will be in the mail at no additional charge by the next business day. If you would prefer a refund instead, please let me know. Refund option must include a photo of the broken/misspelled item for verification. Please notify us immediately if items have been damaged in transit (within 48 hours of receipt).

My package says it was delivered, but I do not have it.

I know it sounds crazy, but more often than not in this situation the package will end up showing up within a few days. Either it was delivered to a neighbor, or just still with your mail carrier. So please be patient for a few days.

Calling your local post office (not the 800 number, but your town’s post office) seems to help in these situations.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund or replace any orders that have been marked as ‘delivered.’ If you are concerned about the safe arrival of your package please consider adding Signature Confirmation service to your order:
