Gorgeous bowl, even more lovely in reality than in the photos... wonderful blue-green glaze! Very handy size for almost any purpose, as well. A *very* talented potter - I'll be back!

About

Pottery a New Beginning

I was a housewife for a long time. Making things out of slip molds was a hobby of mine for a while. After the kids got older I decided to attend college. My family encouraged me to become a nurse. Instead I became a potter. Good thing I did because I did not like medical science at all.
I love art and I LOVE to throw on the wheel. I drive all my friends and family nuts with information and ideas about pottery, kilns and glazes.

I sometimes work at home on my sunporch. I can see part of my neighborhood from the windows. I can wave at the kids in the yard, watch the birds and enjoy the sunset. Mostly in the peace and quiet I get a chance to work on new ideas or hone old ones.

Now I can make my own dishes and buy great ones from my potter friends. I have met many great potters and artists and appreciate all they have shared with me.

I became a potter in 2000. I love to make tableware and once in a while I make a few raku pieces. My grandkids love to make things out of clay and will one day probably help me in my studio. Who knows maybe they will fire kilns too!
