Thanks very much Jen for the scarf which arrived safe and sound last week, just in time for the cold snap! Absolutely love it. Great item, well made, packaged with care and good comms throughout. A terrific Etsy experience. What's more my wife is very happy that 'she bought me' an early Christmas present. Best of luck.

About

Making it happen

I set up an Etsy seller account back in 2011, as soon as I got home from college. Not too long after, I hit a few speed bumps. I was discouraged, and put my art, my writing and my Etsy on hold.
Almost a year later, I dug out my box of yarn, and decided to get to work. Happily, I fell back in love with crocheting. When I sit down to watch tv or a movie, I crochet while I watch. I got excited about creating again, and even started taking class at a local art store. There, I learned how to read patterns, and even took on the challenge of making my first amigurumi.
While my first amigurumi was unsuccessful - I didn't fill the doll's head with enough stuffing - it was a lot of fun. I bought pattern books, subscribed to crocheting magazines, and scoured the internet for patterns.
Since then, I have made a variety of things now, including, amigurumis, pillows, bags, towels, baby shoes and earring holders. I am currently interested in learning to crochet jewelry, and to learn more about tatting.

My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was in middle school. It took a while to get the hang of it, but once I started, I was hooked. Since then, I have made countless scarves, and recently started expanding to more complex patterns.
