About

Timeless Keepsakes For The Modern Home

Portrait art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. The living room wall of my grandparent's house in Vermont is covered with oil paintings of my father's family. From my grandparents in their early thirties, to my uncles and aunts as pre-teens, all sitting up straight in their large gold frames. Over the years, we have marveled at my grandmother's movie star looks, and laughed over my brother's uncanny resemblance to the painted seven-year-old version of my dad.

With my portraits, I hope to preserve this lovely tradition, but with an updated, contemporary look. Each piece is painstakingly drawn by hand, then printed on thick, archival paper, and finally placed in a gorgeous wooden frame.

I aim to provide you with a timeless keepsake, of the highest quality, that will look wonderful--for years to come-- in any modern home.

Payment
How Does this Work?

•After you purchase the portrait and indicate the frame of your choice, (thank you!) I’ll contact you by email and ask that you send me one, or several, photos of the subject.

•Once I’ve received your photos and we’ve touched base on the portrait particulars, I’ll get started sketching it out in pencil. Then I’ll ink it.

•When I have a finished inked piece, I’ll email you a low resolution image of the final portrait for you to look over. If you have any changes or tweaks I’ll make those, and then resend the updated image for you to approve of. (If the image needs more changing, additional fees may be applied.)

Note: The faster you respond with your changes and/or approval, the more quickly I can finish your portrait. The portrait will NOT be printed and framed without your approval, so don’t forget to email me back!

•When you’re happy with your portrait it’s sent out for printing and framing! It will soon be on it’s way to you.

Additional Copies:

If you would like additional copies of the portrait, please let me know. Additional framed copies are $85 and are available for purchase --I'll create a listing for you! Perfect for gifts, just let me know your frame selection and the shipping address if it differs.
Shipping
>>>>>>FOR CHRISTMAS DELIVERY: The last day to order for regular shipping is December 5th. Rush shipping available until December 10th.<<<<<<<<<

Turn Around Time:
Your portrait takes roughly 12 business days to create, print, and frame.
After that, allow 3-7 days for shipping.

International Shipping:
If you live outside the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom, the frames with mattes will take a bit longer to get to you. Please add roughly seven business days.

If there is an additional shipping fee, you’ll be contacted with an amended invoice. Thanks for understanding!

Please note, I’m not responsible for any import duty charges for shipping the portraits outside the United States. Sorry to be a downer, they are all just terribly hard to figure out and account for.

If you need it faster, get in touch with me.
Refunds and Exchanges
Oh dear, I like happy customers!

As this is a custom order, and you approved of the finished image, I can’t accept returns, or refunds. However, I hate the idea of a customer being unhappy with my work. Let me know what the problem is and hopefully we can work it out.

Of course if the portrait arrives damaged, another one will be shipped immediately. I just ask that you just please let me know about it within 4 days of receiving the portrait.
It is helpful if you can provide me with a detailed description of what was damaged and if possible, a photograph. In some instances I will ask for the portrait to be returned to me in the original packaging. I will cover the shipping expenses. These things help me avoid the problem in the future.

Thanks so much!

FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

•Do you offer the printed portraits without frames?
Right now, officially, no. But contact me and we can figure something out.

•Can I get my portrait in a different size?
Probably! Contact me and we’ll figure out sizing, and then the pricing.

•Would you do a custom portrait of my family? (ie more than just two people?)
Of course! Contact me here with the details, and we’ll figure out the price, and sizing-- should you need a larger size.

•Will you do a portrait of my pet?
Will I? Yes! Yes, I definitely will. I am a bonafide animal lover and currently have three animal family members: two brother-by-another-mother cats, and their new sister, an eight(ish) year old husky rescue. I would LOVE to draw your pet!

•Do you offer gift wrapping?
I am working on it! Contact me and I'll make it happen for you.
