It all began with a spindle...

In 2009, I stepped into a local yarn store and picked up a learn to spin kit by a local fiber artist and to-be friend. I learned about spinning my own yarn on a very basic spindle, and very soon I just had to have my own spinning wheel. Within a month, I had created Ottawa Valley Fiber Arts because I didn't have access to the supplies I wanted in my area.

I met many friends along the way, especially as I created the Canadian Fiber Box as a way for folks to get to know Canadian fiber artists and producers. I met the most amazing people as I saught ought folks to be featured in the box.

In 2010 I took a break due to some health problems, but was able to start dabbling again in 2012 at a much smaller scale.

I hope Ottawa Valley Fiber Arts opens the doors to creative expression in fiber for you.

    I love to play with all sorts of fiber in many ways. Spinning captured my heart a few years ago, and then I discovered the joy of dyeing my own fibers and yarns. Color makes my heart sing, and my fingers dance to the textures I experience with fiber.

Items in as sold condition can be returned for full refund (minus shipping costs).

Shipping
Shipping is usually by Canada Post unless requested otherwise for Canada and US orders. For everything but yarn, there is a flat rate shipping of 11 in Canada. Yarn shipping is lower and additional charges apply with additional skeins.
