Announcement   Etsy is a community of individuals with diverse interest and even beliefs. It is important to keep it this way and avoid the pitfalls of predecessors. The best method of maintaining the beauty of Etsy is to communicate any interests and concerns.

Please note that all items are described in detail. If I offer an electronic device or even a vacuum tube, as an example to the Etsy Community it will be tested. However all items are sold "as is." This is required because there may be a bad apples in the basket. That is why I request that you answer any questions you may have allowing me to increase my knowledge and afford the buyer information. If the item arrives damaged or in any way different than my description I always ship items with insurance and will highly advocate on the Etsy buyer's behalf.

I'm sorry for the delay, had to wait until I saw their reaction. Just gave it to my grandsons last night. They all were excited and happy to use the typewriter. I'm thrilled. I looked for a year until I found just the right one. They are very happy and my son even sat down and typed ...he liked it and made sure they are careful with it. Thank you Harvey! Connie

About

ourPastourFuture

Many years ago we decided to take a bicycle trip of about 150 miles. These were the days of canvas packs and canned bake beans. We camped outside a deserted mansion. I explored the mansion and found and old yellowing letter about the family finally having to not depend upon the "ice man" because they purchased an ammonia refrigeration. I kept this letter for many years. Than a friend a few months later suggest we camp out at his father's driving range on Long Island and then go to near by antique store. I had no interest in "antiques" but did so and had an unusual feeling in the store. I felt the value of all the objects seen were not monetary but instead told a history waiting to be learned.

Ever since that event I have enjoyed collecting and trading with others. It is important that we share the past to learn the future.

My venture into Etsy is a continuation of a hobby that now encompasses old electronics, watches, things that glow called vacuum tubes, early American glass, Asian and European ceramics, literally just about anything that someone may appreciate.

My listings on Etsy is certainly diverse.I offer objects only that are exactly as listed and try to provide the best actual photographs of the objects.

I enjoy conversation about the objects that I offer.

Don't be shy and ask questions.

On a weekend bicycle trip we decided to camp in the yard of an abandoned mansion. I explored the mansion and found a letter about their new ammonia refrigerator. Then I found yard sales and actually felt the history of an object. I was hooked.

I certify that everything I offer to the Etsy Community is exactly what I have photographed and described. Additionally I ensure based upon the best information I have available that the item being offered is not a reproduction or copy. I value intellectual and international copyrights. It is important to understand that since every item is exactly as described my return policy is based upon 2 factors. One is the Golden Rule, second is that the unique item may be returned only if it is not as listed. Prior to shipment I will accept a cancellation of the transaction. However if the item has been shipped and a tracking number or notice of shipment has been provided to the buyer than there can be no cancellation. This applies even if I am shipping the item with a shipping label provided by the buyer. If the item arrives damaged I will do everything possible with the shipper to resolve the problem. However if I suggest in the shipment of a fragile item, like a 1910 Edison Mazda light bub, vacuum tube, other fragile object, and my suggestion is not replied to by the buyer, I can not be responsible for the damages. All items offered to the Etsy Community are subject to my state';s sale tax rules. If I engage in an international sale I will fully comply with the US Custom's rules and those of the country receiving the item.I will never undervalue or overvalue the item, the temporary value of the item is the purchase price of the item.
Shipping
I prefer USPS Priority for domestic shipping. I enjoy shipping items international on an individual basis. If you have a question about shipping please ask.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please refer to my payment policy. Generally since each item may be unique a refund will be provided only if the item is not as pictured or as listed. Damages caused by a temporary bailment, i.e. shipper becomes the responsibility of the shipper. I will work as closely as possible with the buyer to resolve the problem.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have a question please email me. I do not offer items for sale to Etsy members that have not been members of the Etsy Community for at least 6 months. There may be exceptions to this policy upon discussion with the potential buyer. Without any pre-approval this policy will be adhered to.
