5 out of 5 starsA beautiful item! Amy turned the component into a pendant at my request. Always conscientious and pleasant to deal with, she ships promptly and takes extra care with the packaging. I highly recommend this seller and her products.

5 out of 5 starsI ordered these for an artist’s smock I am making. The seller contacted my right after I placed my order to ask me the fabric I was using, so she could determine the size of the holes she would drill in the buttons. I really was impressed by this - her caring attitude was so lovely. The buttons arrived yesterday, and are perfect for my project. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

About AmyEclectic
Get to know AmyEclectic!
Back in 1995 I fell in love with polymer clay after stumbling upon a kids' polymer clay kit in preparation for some time down after surgery. Within an hour of playing on my primitive work table covered in shipping tape and a wood rolling pin, I was smitten! In 2006 when Etsy was pretty new, I joined under my old business name of Ovenfried Beads. Since then I have branched out into other mixed mediums embroidery with beads and fiber, and some paper arts, I changed my business name to AmyEclectic to better describe the variety of mediums and end expressions that manifest. There are enough art supplies in my studio to last a couple of lifetimes. My shop features both finished jewelry that make great gifts for yourself or others AND components for artisans to use and manipulate in their own creative ways.
Having worked in retail for most of working life, I am keenly aware of the importance of great customer service. I value communication with my customers and strive to answer all the questions before a person purchases my work.
Please note: If you visit my blog, please know that I am unable to update it due to the disappearance of Google+. Please "like" my Facebook page to keep up with what's going on!

Shop policies
Information about FLAT COMPONENTS: If you choose to have flat components turned into buttons or a pendant, PLEASE read ahead regarding additional information I might need.
Buttons- with a Shank: I use only one size shank with 1 standard size...about a 2mm hole. No need to contact me. I will just cement shanks in the center of the button(s). If it is a set of components, I will orient all of the shanks in the same direction if there is a common pattern in the buttons.
Buttons- with Holes: Are you using yarn? Normal sewing thread? I need to know how large to drill holes. If you plan on using sewing thread, I recommend requesting Shanks, as my drilled holes are spaced so that whatever is used will show. Holes are ideal for use with knit/crocheted items that need a good focal button. This helps buttons stay on better, and look great with the yarn showing between the holes. I only drill 2 holes per button (not 4).
If you have any questions or requests not listed, please contact me BEFORE purchasing. I can hide the listing until the desired attributes of the buttons are agreed-upon so nobody else buys it while we are in talks. If you purchase an item without swift communication about what you desire, it will delay the shipping, which then looks bad to Etsy. Quick shipping after purchase is one of my strengths and I would like very much to keep it that way. :)

Returns and exchange details
MY ART: Due to the extremely OOAK unique items I create, my own artwork is not returnable for a refund, but I am open exchanging it for a different item of same value. I try to provide enough photographs and information so that you know what you will be receiving. Contact me with ANY questions about ANYTHING before you purchase, even requests for more pictures.
If you purchase any items from my shop and they arrive damaged or go missing in transit, you will need to file a claim with USPS to recover damages, as I am not responsible for the condition of items once I have mailed them at the post office. I provide more-than-sufficient packing materials for them to arrive safely at your doorstep. IF you want a necklace resized, I am happy to do that for a small fee which will be added to the price of the item. Any return postage is the buyer's responsibility. Again, I cannot stress enough how important communication is to maintain a healthy relationship with my fans.
SALES AND COUPONS: Occasionally I make coupon codes available to groups or fans on Etsy, Facebook or elsewhere. If my instructions indicate entering a coupon code and a buyer forgets to enter it at checkout before payment is made, refunds will not be made on the difference. The reason for this is a) All of the fees I paid when the item was purchased are not refunded to me, and b) I don't have the time. Please be diligent when placing orders. Read announcements, policies, etc so you are informed. This applies to all of the Etsy shops you visit.

Shipping
Lost or damaged packages must be reported to the USPS, as I am not responsible for losses incurred in transit. My high-end work (mailed via Priority Mail) will come with insurance, but lower priced ones (mailed First Class) do not. If you are concerned about the safety or treatment of your package, please ask me to add insurance to postage and I will create a reserved listing for you.
