I began designing jewelry in 2005 but my path came by way of fine art. I studied studio art at the City University of New York, the Brooklyn Museum Art School, and photography at Parsons the New School for Design, but then took a hiatus from art, and began a successful career as an industry executive for a major financial services company. There I had the opportunity to travel globally and reside for some time in Southeast Asia where the culture would later inspire my designs. I eventually decided I needed to reconnect with my creative roots and started Barbara Wilkinson Jewelry. Combining creativity with my business background proved to be a winning combination. Now I have come full circle and back to my creative passion and independent spirit. My designs strike a balance between modern and classic.
My ethically sourced natural gemstones are all selected by me for their quality and brilliance. All designs are created in my New York City studio using traditional jewelry-making techniques of metal-smithing, wire-wrapping and stringing.

In addition to designing jewelry, I am an avid supporter of independent design and independent business. I am the co-founder of the ID Pop Shop, a monthly retail event that features a rotating cast of New York City's top independent brands of apparel, accessories, jewelry and art. A member of the NY Handmade Collective (formerly Etsy NY), I recently served on the board of directors for 2 years as events director and operations director. In my leisure time, I am dedicated to wellness and fitness.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders

Returns and exchange details
Your satisfaction is important to me. However, merchandise may be returned within 10 days, in original condition with a copy of your invoice. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Jewelry must be carefully packed and insured, we cannot be responsible for damaged and/or uninsured returns. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Custom designs are final sale. No changes may be made to any custom order; once the order is submitted it is considered final sale.

***Please note that items purchased from me at in-person events may only be exchanged for same or greater value within ten days of purchase.

Please note that New York residents will be charged sales tax at 8.875% when you make your payment.
Items will be packaged in an organza pouch to keep your jewelry safe, or a gift box. You can choose by indicating in Note to Seller. Otherwise I will include either one. Purchases over $100 will include insurance. I will send your item via US Postal Services with Delivery Confirmation for US customers, and First Class International for overseas purchases.

Please note: International customers are responsible for any and/or all Customs fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping & purchasing to their respective countries, should they be assessed. Most country's Customs agencies open and/or assess fees to a random selection of packages. Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery would be at the discretion of your country's tax regulations. We have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and we are not responsible for those charges. For any additional information please refer to your local customs agency.

Customer service is important to me so I generally ship your purchase within a day or two after receipt of your payment, and will keep you informed of the status along the way. If you are satisfied with your purchase, I would love to have the feedback in my shop.
