I've been a theatrical costume designer for decades in New York City, always craftsy, making accessories for many shows: hats, masks, bags, jewelry, and costume pieces. I discovered Etsy in 2006 and sold my assembled pieces. In 2012 I took my first metal smithing class and now work in sterling, copper, brass and bronze, and am hopelessly in thrall to gemstones, unique glass jewels and the many forms of nature.
I’m very sorry, but I am not shipping overseas at this time.

I like that the fossilized coral is bezel set while the pottery piece is set with prongs. It is a fun and funky necklace that gets me compliments every time I wear it.

I make quick sketches of new stones and the first idea I had, even though it often evolves into something else. -
After a trip to the Gem Show, I sit staring as if drugged at all of this color and possibilities. -
