Announcement   Yay!!! We've made it into the December (2015) HGTV Magazine in two places. Our green bowl is featured on page 48 and red striped cookie jar on page 139! Oh yes - we're so happy! On Saturday, November 21, we'll have our annual open house at the studio - 9 to 3 - if you're in the area, stop by because we'd love to see you!

Holy Cow - we're in HGTV Magazine's December 2014 Holiday Issue (page 74), November 2014 (last page) and September 2014 (cover & page 119) issues! Thanks for your patronage and kind words!

Yippppeeee! We're in the Oct 2012, Everyday With Rachael Ray magazine (see our spiral dot bowl & plate, page 94). We've got a pic of it on our web site - www.owlcreekceramics.com

Thank you to these great magazines and thank you ETSY for getting us "found" by these great publications! Earlier, we were spotted by an HGTV designer on ETSY and had our striped plate on The Today Show. Wow - we dig it!

Our webpage is - owlcreekceramics.com

If you get a chance "like" us on our facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Owlcreekceramics.

Thanks, Dyna

It's been 5 years now on ETSY and we love it! Wow and we've quit our "working for the man" jobs! Yay! Going full time ceramics is beyond wonderful.

Our main goal at Owl Creek Ceramics is to provide functional pieces with bright happy colors and designs.

We (John and I) use several processes to make the form of the pieces, as well as working with bisque blanks. Our primary means are throwing on potter’s wheel, hand construction, and slip casting. There are advantages to each method. Slip casting (pouring liquid clay into molds) produces uniform and light weight pieces. This makes for very functional, easy to use pieces. In hand throwing, each piece is unique. The pieces are heavier and we tend to make smaller bowls and such for ease in use. We really enjoy hand construction also.

I do all the decorating and have a blast thinking of new ideas and patterns. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks, Dyna and John
