*** Hi, I'm Monika! ***
I'm a Toronto based artist with a passion for new and exciting projects. Over the past four years I have been honing my craft in rubber stamp design, with a specialty in portraiture. I have a fine arts degree from Ryerson University.
I made my first rubber stamp for a friend as a wedding gift. My first stamp was rustic, but super cute ... and since then they have improved to really capture the person's likeness. They make such unique gifts, or a fantastic addition to a thank you card or envelope.

*** What Do I Make? ***
I create whimsical handcarved rubber stamps. Each stamp is unique in that it is individually designed, carved, and tested just for you. Because I quality test each stamp before shipping, there may be a slight ink stain remaining, but it will not affect your ink pads or stamping at all.
I also design personalized portrait stamps that you can have customized for yourself, loved ones, and even pets!

*** How do the Portrait Stamps Work?***
Select the style of portrait stamp that you would like to purchase. Then we'll begin communications to find the best photo of you for your stamp. Once a photo is selected I will begin the drafting process, I will send you a draft for final approval, and then I'll begin to carve.
Because your stamp is exceptionally unique, it will need to be tested to ensure that all lines are correct and all negative space has been completely removed. In order to do this I will need to ink your stamp for testing, but I will remove it afterward with a gentle soap and toothbrush (you can do this at home after stamping as well!).

*** How Do I Clean My Stamp? ***
I use a Clorox wet wipe (or generic brand) to remove ink from the stamp, it's gentle and the most effective method. Alternatively, a soft hand soap and a soft toothbrush (not the one you use on your teeth) are gentle enough to remove the ink. Darker inks may permanently stain the rubber, but as long as you rinse it off as best as you can it likely will not affect future stamping with lighter coloured inks.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

Your stamp will last longer the less you clean it. If you're sticking with the same ink colour, or similar colours, it's fine to keep the ink on the stamp after use. If you're switching ink colours (ie black to yellow), the best option is to gently wipe your stamp clean with a cleaning wet wipe (ie Clorox wipe). If you don't have one of these handy you can wash it under warm water with a gentle liquid soap. And for tough stains use a VERY soft tooth brush - but make this a last resort as the bristles can damage the soft rubber.

Christmas Policy

Orders placed after December 14 are not guaranteed to arrive within North America before Christmas.
