Handcrafted Items | Orphan Care | Adoption Fundraising

Founded in 2012, Owls for Orphans is a small business with humble beginnings and big dreams. Spurred on by our passion for creativity, orphans, and community we strive to be the business that makes a difference.

Owls for Orphans began as an adoption fundraiser for founder Amy Moss and her family. The success of the fundraiser led Amy and Craig to open up the boutique and pay forward the generosity shown to their family. During their adoption journey the Moss family was blessed with the news that their soon-to-be daughter, Maia, had a biological sister. This sister, Cassie, was being adopted by Nichol and Herb Pickerill. The bond between families has continued to grow since the adoption of their girls and Amy and Nichol now work together running Owls for Orphans. They share a common bond of adoption, family, and faith and together strive to help orphans be united with their forever families.

The Owls for Orphans boutique is where you’ll find our handcrafted crochet animals, patterns, and latch hook rugs. Items are designed and crafted by Amy and Nichol and make the perfect unique gift for a baby shower or birthday party. A portion of every sale in our shop goes to help adopting families bring home their children. We have currently raised over $1300 for adopting families.

Additional policies and FAQs
All of our crochet items are made with washable yarn in an acrylic blend. While the yarn is washable, we recommend spot cleaning only since full washing can change the shape of your item. Wash your item with cool water and a mild soap if needed. Lay flat to dry without wringing. Rearrange the stuffing as needed.

We frequently work with customers on custom orders for objects not offered in the shop. If you have something specific you'd like commissioned please send us a message.
