5 out of 5 starsThe craftsmanship on this was beautiful, but what blew me away was the customer service. The shop contacted me when the shipment was delayed due to a family event. I told them I understood and would never want them to feel pressured to send me something while they were working through a family thing. They piece not only arrived just a little delayed all things considered, but the owner also gave me a discount coupon even though I never asked for it as an apology for not shipping by the original ship date . . . before the family event. I highly recommend.

Returning to Watercolors Again after Two Decades
Watercolors as a medium first caught my eye when I discovered the amazing artist,Bev Doolittle while perusing art books in the library one day. I tried all sorts of mediums, including oils (which made me sick because of the fumes), but it was the delightful surprises and mysteriousness of watercolors, that kept me intrigued and coming back.
Not long into my twenties, I became a full time children's book illustrator. I lost touch with using watercolors in any painterly way, and mostly used them to color in my cartoon illustrations.
Now, two decades later, the medium has me under its spell once again, and I've spent a great deal of my free moments studying and watching instructional videos. What a wonderful day in age when you can watch some of the best watercolorists in the world paint live on youtube! Back in my twenties, there were only tedious instructional books, which I honestly didn't have the patience to keep up with.
This shop is going to be my labor of love over the next year, as I create new wild life paintings and post them here for everyone to enjoy. I can't wait to watch it all grow and evolve, and I can't wait to see where my paintings and prints end up out there in the world.
