It's that "personal touch" that counts
I remember back when I was young, thinking wow.....I would LOVE to have my name or initials on something of mine, so that everyone would know it was MINE! There's just something about personalized products that seems to set them apart from just the regular "run of the mill" items. It gives you a feeling of owning something special that no one else has.
So began my love for personalized items...be it jewelry, clothing, stationery, WHATEVER!!! Put a monogram or a name on it! I began personalizing things for my daughter when she was very young. Her friends also wanted their own personalized items too.
Soon, that friend told a friend that told another friend that told another friend that....well, you get the picture! I enjoy making each and every item that's created, whether it's just from me, or someone helping me create a person's special gift! And the best part of all of it? Monogramming NEVER goes out of style! So you will always be trendy!
I've always had a passion for personalized items, whether it's stationery, jewelry, pillowcases....just anything with MY name or MY initials! And the same holds true when giving a gift to others. It sets your item apart from the regular "big box" gift or standard on line ordering. I strive to make each and every item that leaves my shop, something that the recipient will look at as a one of a kind, different from any other. A sense of pride is put into the items that I make, knowing that the person that will be receiving it will be just as pleased with THEIR own personal gift!
And what makes it MORE personal is the fact that there's no big production line involved in Paige's Pastime....just me, myself and I! Of course my husband of 30+ years does lend a helping hand from time to time, and I have 1 or 2 wonderful ladies that help me during the busiest times of the year....which sometimes, seems like every day! My engraver does a FABULOUS job with my jewelry items!
So you see....I can't narrow the items down in my shop to JUST jewelry, or JUST stationery, or JUST vinyl monograms....I enjoy offering a wide variety of things to choose from! Most orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail. Please let us know in advance if you prefer one over the other so that we can adjust shipping charges. Be aware...First Class IS cheaper, but it is also **S L O W E R**!

We accept paypal, checks and money orders. Paypal accepts all major credit cards and a paypal account is not neccessary. We will never see any of your private financial information when you use paypal. If you need help with the checkout process, please convo us and we will be more than happy to assist you. Checks and money orders must clear the bank (7-10 days after depositing) before processing your order can begin. ~ ALABAMA RESIDENTS ONLY: sales tax of 6% will be automatically added to your order through Paypal. If sending a check or money order, please calculate the 6% tax on your item, before shipping charges, and include that with your payment. ~
My business working hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. NO ORDERS WILL BE PROCESSED ON THE WEEKENDS ( I DO need a little time off!) During this time, convos will be answered and orders will be processed.
Since I have absolutely no control over a package once I have mailed it, I cannot guarantee with 100% certainty that you will receive it as promised by the USPS, because unfortunately the Post Office does not guarantee ANYTHING (even Overnight Delivery!). The best way to ensure that a package will get to you by a certain date is to upgrade shipping to UPS, with costs running approximately double what the USPS charges for Priority Mail. Simply let me know if you are interested in a price quote for UPS.
READY TO SHIP items in our store ship within 24 hours and should arrive within one week.
Most of our items are shipped USPS First Class. Priority mail should arrive in 2-3 days. If you would rather have a different method of shipping other that what is listed, please notify us before placing your order so that an adjustment can be made to the shipping price.
We hate paying shipping fees as much as you do. Our shipping fees are usually very accurate, however if you ever pay more than $3 over the actual shipping charge, we will refund you the difference.
In some instances (such as when a package has to be shipped across country from the East Coast to West coast), your shipping fees could be considerably more than the fee that is listed in a particular transaction. So please be aware that I might send you a Paypal invoice for the remainder of the shipping....but only if it is more than $3.
Your order will be sent to the address that you have on file with Paypal. So if your Etsy address is different from your Paypal address, or if you'd like it mailed elsewhere, please let me know this when you complete your transaction. Otherwise, it will be mailed to the address on file with Paypal.
Refunds and Exchanges
Paige's Pastime stands by our total commitment to ensuring your complete satisfaction with every order. If for any reason your order does not meet your expectations, please contact us within 5 days from receipt. We will do everything we can to be sure you are satisfied with your order. Should you need to return an item, shipping charges will be the responsiblity of the buyer.
Because most of our items are custom orders and personalized, PLEASE be sure your initials or name is correct when you submit it, as well as thread colors, fabric colors and vinyl colors. We will work with the lettering that you have given us. If WE make a mistake, it will be corrected at no charge. If YOU make the mistake, you will have to take on the additional charges incurred to correct it. For that reason, NO PERSONALIZED ITEMS ARE RETURNABLE OR REFUNDABLE.
Additional policies and FAQs
CONVOS.....I could probably spend half of my day, answering convos. If you send me a convo and I don't respond back immediately, please do not feel like I'm ignoring you. Time is valuable when you're working on a deadline to get orders completed and mailed. Unless I am sitting at the computer when your convo comes in, I'll get back with you later in the day. I read them first thing in the a.m. for sure, and then send replies about every 3-4 hours. So hang in there with me! I'm getting to all of you as quickly as I can! ~*~*~*
DO NOT ask me to contact you or notify you by way of your email address or phone calls. I rely on the Etsy Convos for ALL of my communications with customers. That way, you and I BOTH have a written copy of what we have discussed.

Q: HOW MANY LETTERS CAN YOU FIT ON AN ITEM?
A: It will depend on the font and number of letters in a name, along with the size of area to be personalized. If you need something a specific size, please let us know in advance. Otherwise, we will create it in a "standard size" for that particular item.
Q: CAN YOU SHOW ME HOW MY NAME OR MONOGRAM WILL LOOK IN A CERTAIN FONT?
A: Just convo us and we will send you a preview of exactly how your name or initials will look in a certain font AFTER YOUR PURCHASE HAS BEEN MADE. That way there will be no surprises!
Q: I LIKE THE FONTS OFFERED, BUT I HAD A PARTICULAR ONE IN MIND...CAN YOU USE THE FONT I REQUEST?
A: We want your personalized item to be perfect for you. As long as it is a font that we have in stock, we can make any adjustment that you need. Contact us for a list of the many different fonts, thread colors, vinyl colors and ink colors that we offer.
Q: I WOULD LIKE A LITTLE MORE PERSONALIZATION THAT WHAT IS BEING OFFERED IN THE LISTING. IS THERE AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR ALL OF MY REQUESTS?
A: Depending on the number of extra words and the finished size, there might be an extra charge. Please convo us for details.
Q: I HAVE PAID FOR MY ORDER. WHEN CAN I EXPECT IT?
A: ALL orders (with the exception of our ready to ship items) will ship within two weeks unless you need them sooner. Please refer to our shipping policies above..feel free to convo us with ANY questions you might have!
Q: DO YOU OFFER A DISCOUNT FOR LARGER QUANTITIES ORDERED, OR SELL AT WHOLESALE?
A: I do not sell at wholesale, nor do I offer quantity discounts. If you will compare my items to similar ones on Etsy, my prices are very reasonable. If I reduce them much more than they are already listed, then I am basically working for nothing, and might as well close my doors. I hope you can understand where I am coming from on this. I offer nothing but high quality merchandise and take pride in the work that we sell.
Q: I AM NEW TO ETSY. CAN YOU TELL ME SOME OF THE THINGS THAT I SHOULD KNOW?
A:*Signing up for an account on etsy is easy and only requires an email address.
*Etsy has its own "email" system called conversations (affectionately referred to as "convos"). You can see attachments only when logged into etsy through your conversations (not when opening the conversation in your regular email account).
*Please keep conversations within the Etsy convo section. That way, you and I both have a record of what has been discussed, and it's a great way to go back and review questions, comments, etc. You might consider having your convos automatically sent to your email address as they are sent to you.
Q: CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU PURCHASE SOME OF YOUR ITEMS?
A: In a few words...no, no, NO. I can appreciate the fact that you might like my buckets, font styles, key rings, etc...Trust me...I have been where you are; feeling like you have searched forever to find a certain item, only to come to a dead end. However, I've spent countless hours on the computer as well as on the telephone, looking for just the right supplies and wholesalers; so I hope you understand that I prefer not to disclose my suppliers' names. It has taken me time and energy and lots of searching, and to give that information away will defeat my item's purpose. Part of being creative and making things is doing the research and work that goes into the things we make.
