Journeys Through Imagination

Welcome to the Interimaginational Institute for Fantastical Exploration & Cartography. I am Alison, the Chief Mapmaker.

Above all else, I am a storyteller. I have told stories through the written word, through television, and through paint and ink.

I have lived at 25 addresses (maybe 26, I think I may have skipped one), in three countries and four U.S. states. I have traveled to 45 states and 14 countries (again, I think) on three continents. I have sent my artwork to five continents. It's a race, and the artwork is winning...

I have been drawing all my life, but it is only when I stopped taking it (and everything, really) so seriously that I could really get down to business. Etsy has made that possible for me, since I opened the paintandink shop almost 10 years ago, in 2006.

I use dip pens and fine watercolors on incredible watercolor papers. As I make my maps, they take me on incredible journeys through imagination and fancy and daydream, and I hope they do the same for you.
