Artist Bio:
Artist Linette Bledsoe began her professional career a little differently than most. Upon receiving her B.A. in Studio Art from Indiana University in 2003, she immediately began painting murals and applying faux finishes in builders’ model homes, private residences, and businesses across central Indiana. In 2009, Linette formed her company, Linette’s Painting & Fine Art, where she took her decorative painting skills to the next level.

In 2010, following the passing of her father, a huge supporter of her passion, Linette decided it was time to make a change and got an art studio at the Stutz Building in downtown Indianapolis. She wanted to put more of a focus on her own artwork, something that had naturally went by the wayside as a muralist and faux finisher. The creative atmosphere brought by her studio has allowed Linette the venue and the inspiration to keep evolving her work.

As the years have gone by, Linette has started to employ more and more of the techniques she uses in her faux painting to the canvas, and then taking it to the next level. Heavily textured plaster pieces are her specialty. There’s minimal planning when it comes to Linette’s work; whatever she feels at the moment decides the path the painting will take. From the way the plaster flows to the color combinations created, each piece inevitably tells a story.

The subject matter of Linette’s pieces vary from animals, to trees, to flowers and even to abstract. But whatever the subject is, Linette always gives her work a very modern twist with fun textures and whimsical color combinations.

This piece is absolutely stunning! This feels abstract and graphic, and the roses are timeless. The pastel matte foreground against the high gloss and gold flaked background brings so much movement and life to the overall aesthetic, it's perfectly complimentary. Your eyes are immediately drawn in; the level of detail in the different textures so enchanting I couldn't be happier with this! Furthermore, the care taken to the packing and shipping was meticulous, keeping everything safe for the journey. Certainly recommend browsing this shop; I'll be keeping my eyes on PaintingsByLinette!!

Welcome to my Etsy shop and enjoy! I create every piece by hand, and I also am glad to take commissions. Want a piece in a different color or size? Want a plaster painted pet portrait? No problem! I take great care in my work and use only the best high quality materials, so you can be rest assured that the piece you receive will last forever and will look wonderful in your space. All of my pieces are signed on the front (or side if no room allowed) with "Linette," and on the back I sign my full name, year of completion, and title of the piece, so you can be sure every piece is authentic and hand made by me.
