One of my most prized possessions already!!! This is an incredible piece and I'm so honored to have it in my home. I will cherish it always. Thanks so very much.
from scraps of wood to art...
Originally, we were doing some small scale abstracts on wood panels but we desired to have more of an original concept — something more graphic that uniquely distinguished our work. Janet mentioned the word “stripes,” and the following day I presented the idea of having individually cut strips of wood comprise a sculptural panel. We had a lot of scraps of wood leftover from constructing our home and believed they could have a new and artful purpose. We knew right away that the result had a lot of potential to evolve and be well-received. Since we started making these a couple of years ago, we've probably spawned in excess of fifteen shops on Etsy that have "inspired" work. We try to distinguish ourselves from our now many competitors by having superior craftsmanship, color composition, frames and attention to detail.
Here are a few publications we've been fortunate to be featured:
The July (2012) issue of Good Housekeeping magazine (pg. 134)
The September (2011) issue of Coastal Living magazine:
The April (2012) issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine:
