Announcement   PAPERANNIE Clocks, coaster sets, a couple journals, a few bookmarks, and sometimes other one-of-a-kind things I impulsively make now and then. I have fun creating bookmarks and list them on the last pages. I sell supplies that are a mixture of leftovers from my creations and flea market finds. Satisfaction guaranteed. Please stay tuned and check back often. I keep developing new products and recently started making the clocks from recycled CDs and DVDs. I love saving the environment and recycling old things into new. I'm into pretty and shabby chic, but also like to experiment and be funky and edgy sometimes.

About

I love making stuff. I love etsy.

Before I stopped working full-time and started making stuff, I morphed through several careers. I have a BA in liberal arts and did graduate work in communications and social work. I was a social worker, dabbled in public relations, was a staff assistant on Capitol Hill, in the White House, in a presidential campaign, and in offices in downtown Washington. I worked at FEMA during Katrina and spent six stressful years helping applicants recover from their losses. In mid-life I was surprised to realize I had some latent artistic talent and got really 'into' art. I called myself an artist for a while and loved being told I 'had a good eye' for creating collages. My work morphed from art into crafts. I'm so into it now that I have decorated my condominium with things made by friends and other artists, and I love wearing jewelry and clothing purchased from etsy sellers or at craft shows. I visit the wonderful museums in Washington and local craft shows, and there are some awesome ones in this area.

I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania but have lived in the Washington, DC area for many years and it feels like home now. I live eight miles from Washington, across the road from a lake.
I'm happiest now when I'm making stuff. I heard of etsy long ago. First I shopped on it, and in March 2010 I opened my own shop. I called my shop paperannie because I create designs with paper and my middle name is Anne. I think the name suits my personality. I love what I do and I love my customers. I cherish their good feedback and here is one of my favorites: "Love the product, love the good communication! Thank you for the fast shipping, for the fast replies to all questions, and for going above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the purchase!" I am happy when people buy my stuff and like it.

Payment
I prefer payment with paypal or a credit card but if a buyer wants to send a money order or check, that works for me too. Sending a check or money order in the mail will slow down delivery but the end result will be the same. You get your stuff!!
Shipping
I am required to fill out a customs form and submit it to the US post office when I mail international orders. Etsy sellers are not responsible for paying customs fees or taxes imposed by the buyer's country. I urge every buyer to become familiar with their country's policies regarding fees on imported purchases.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will gladly accept refunds and exchanges within two weeks of purchase. I just want you to be happy as that makes me happy.

I want buyers to let me know if they are not happy with their purchase. I love constructive feedback and want to know what buyers like want.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am constantly coming up with ideas for more products for sale and want to be busy making stuff all day long. I am trying however to focus on a few products that I've worked hard to perfect. When I create a collage is when the artist in me really comes out. For the clocks, it's more of a process of coming up with unique concepts.
