About

For the Love of Paper & Life...

Welcome to my online stationery and handmade home decor boutique - The PaperCrafter's Nook. I make and sell cards, invitations, favors and crafts for all occasions, including weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, graduations and more!

I've always enjoyed making handmade cards and crafts as long as I can remember. My paternal grandmother was a big influence on my life in that regards. Some of my fondest memories of our time together was when we would craft together from making lace Valentine hearts to making tissue-paper flowers.

Throughout the years, I would nurture that creative spark in my life to create beautiful cards and crafts. Many different ideas and processes inspire my creativity, including, but certainly not limited to: French culture, vintage images, ancient paper crafting techniques and mixed media/texture.

A lot of my work features images from France. This is no accident. I was a French major in college in addition to a Communication major. My last semester of college was spent in Amiens, France.

Vintage items also inspire me. I try to incorporate "old" or "vintage" items or images in my work as much as possible. The love of vintage, old-looking or distressed images comes from my childhood days of antiqueing and yard saling with my grandma and aunt.

I love incorporating ancient or old paper crafting techniques into my repertoire of processes. So, you'll see paper quilling featured in my shop as well as origami.

Mixed media informs a lot of my art and designs. Texture and color excite my senses. I love bringing this same experience to my customers!

While working full-time, I started The PaperCrafter's Nook as a side business selling cards, invitations and crafts to my co-workers, friends and family. After losing my full-time job, I focused more on my family {as a wife and mother of 2 young boys} and my business.

My ultimate dream is to someday open my own successful craft store. Etsy is helping me realize that dream!
