I create and add new items weekly.Small, elegant, unique ,and handmade! I make my paper from natural fibers, plants, and tree bark imported from the Orient. I use my paper in hand-bound books, paper folios and small envelopes of paper and for printmaking and drawing.

My hand pulled etchings, and lino prints are recent additions to the shop.My editions are really small, ten prints, because many are pulled on paper made specifically for a print.

About

My love of papermaking led me to study with a Master in Japan.

I’m inspired by color, texture, and light. I live and work in Maine where there’s an abundance of all three wrapped up in beautiful surroundings.

Making paper for my own prints and drawings has been my passion and avocation for over 25 years. This love of papermaking led me to Japan where I spent endless hours learning the craft of making Washi. I’m indebted to Master Tsuneo Naito, Master Fujimori, and Living Treasure, Ichibee Iwano for each man’s time, knowledge, kindness and patience.

My papers are unique because I use imported inner tree bark, and processed dry pulps from around the world, as well as local plant fibers. I process each fiber using time honored and painstaking methods. My papers are thin and strong and my dye baths favor subtle shades.

Every true craftsman finds the medium and process that fits best with his own love for material, personal movement patterns, and eye for detail, I’m still mesmerized, captured and relish the sound of dripping water, the dance of movement, the sight of sheets of paper drying on boards in the sun.

I opened my etsy shop so that I could offer beautiful paper to other artists and a larger community. I've been able to connect with a community of wonderful people. It's a great adventure that's just beginning!
