About

how it started

Paper Tiger was dreamed up in my cramped studio apartment in Lyon, France in 2007. Two years later I gave in to the siren song of the Pacific Northwest and Paper Tiger now calls Seattle, Washington home. What started with handmade stickers and notebooks soon branched out into other handcrafts like knitting! In addition to designing knits and writing patterns for handknitters, I also teach knitting workshops and conduct independent research in the history of different knitting traditions. I love all things handmade and I am so grateful to the virbrant and creative community surrounding Etsy.

My inspiration and motivation come from the world around me, from the people and the places and things that pass through my life, whether permanent or transient. The art I make and the products I produce reflect that.
