The Story

Paper Worthy Company was founded in 2020 by Alicia Wood from a hobby near and dear to her heart, bookbinding. Paper Worthy Company combines the world of textiles and paper to create unique stationery products. From notebooks to notecards each item is handmade with love.

About the Founder

Alicia Wood is a Product Designer who had a fascination with textiles and paper. Her father being an upholsterer exposed her to the art of working with your hands and creating physical products. It was not until after her father passed away and years of working in tech, that she gravitated towards bookbinding.

“I’ve always loved notebooks. Stationary has always been my thing, but ask me 5 years ago if I would be making notebooks from scratch, I would have said “Ummm no”. I was working in fintech for so long I needed another creative outlet that would fulfill a need to create in ways my full time career could not. So here I am today, working with my hands and being reminded every time I touch fabric, the joy my father must have felt when he did the thing he loved most...to make.”
