Announcement    Hello and welcome to my shop. I am still open and shipping orders to the UK and USA but please be aware they are taking much longer than usual to arrive both here and in the US. In addition the cost of shipping to the US has increased dramatically. The impact of flight restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic is one cause of the price rise, with USPS/Royal Mail explaining that "Most of their international mail is carried on commercial passenger flights and there has been a 95% reduction in air passenger flights globally following the outbreak of Covid-19". Sadly this is out of my control.

Vintage Shabby Chic Interiors, Soft Furnishings and Painted Furniture

Papillonpieces originated from my love of all things old and in need of a little tlc. A small idea that simply grew from creating gifts for friends and family and accessories for my own home.

Why Papillon Pieces? The French word for butterfly. I have always loved the expression…

“Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you; but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder”

After years of dreaming, this year the ‘butterfly has landed ……...'. My hope is to share my passion and create a unique piece for you!

My real love is painted furniture, although thus far none of the bigger items have made it into my Etsy Shop; I'm currently working to change that! In addition to this site I have a small retail outlet locally and I take on private commissions.

I regularly trawl the Antique Fairs in search of preloved treasures to recycle and restore. I love to accessorise these and photograph them prior to putting them in my shop and you can find me on Instagram.

I gladly accept returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
I want you to be delighted with your purchase, so I will accept returns if you are not entirely happy with your order. In return, I would ask that you contact me within 7 days of receipt and we will work out a mutually agreeable solution. If you do decide to return something, I would ask that you handle the return shipping cost and regret that this cost and the original shipping cost cannot be refunded.

If something arrives broken or damaged just send me a message as soon as you can and I will endeavour to find you a replacement or, if that is not possible, I will offer you a full refund.
Payment
I accept payment via Credit Card, Paypal and Etsy Gift Cards.
Shipping
I pack and ship orders Monday to Friday and most are sent out within 1-3 working days; except items sent by courier which may take slightly longer depending on the day they are ordered. All orders ship from Reigate and will be sent to the shipping address on your Etsy account. You will receive an automated confirmation email from Etsy when you place your order and I will keep you informed with exact shipping details along the way. I always use a Signed For service.

Items shipped abroad are also sent using a trackable service and the buyer is responsible for any import /customs duties that may be payable.

While all orders are completed as quickly as possible, should you need something by a specific date, just let me know and I will endeavour to get your package to you as quickly as I can. I will happily gift wrap items too so again just ask.

The majority of my items are vintage and as such bear the marks and scars of their preloved life! I do my best to photograph and describe them as honestly and accurately as possible. However, if you have any questions before you order do please message me.

All my items are carefully wrapped however I do recycle packaging where I can too in an effort to minimise waste and protect the environment.
