Hello. Welcome to my shop. My name is Elissa and I'm the owner of Parker and Peony. I am mom to Elliot and wife to Kirby. I have two dogs – a pug named Stegosaurus and chihuahua named Tucker. I am a social worker in a local emergency room. I have also been homeschooling my 12 year old son for the last year and a half. I have always been creative and have mostly enjoyed making crafts with paper. Most recently, most my creativity has come in the form of scrapbooking and project life. Honestly, I am just a paperholic.

For as long as I could remember, I knew that I wanted paper flowers for my eventual wedding. So, when I started planning my wedding I knew I would have paper flowers. And even though I had never made paper flowers before, I knew I wanted to make them.

I loved that my bouquet was so bright and so me. And I loved that I was able to use all the colors of my wedding in my bouquet. I had a turquoise dahlias, dark blue hydrangeas, orange succulents and word paper ranunculus. I used silver filler.

I received a lot of positive feedback and encouragement from friends and families to offer my flowers to other brides. That's when I started to think about creating Esty. I spent about six months, creating new flowers and perfecting my flower making skills so I could offer well made, creative flowers. As I had flowers sitting all around my house, I saw how awesome the flowers were as everyday décor throughout the home. That's when I saw the potential for the flowers as more than for weddings but to decorate any celebration and brighten up everyday life.
