Why Settle for Ordinary?
I love fabric -- especially high quality designer cotton fabrics and silks. When I am not sewing for my Etsy shop, I am a quilter.
Like the beautiful but hardy prairie flower that inspired my shop name, I strive to combine beauty and durability in designing fabric items for my shop.
It is the FABRIC that inspires me to create items that are unique--and often colorful, striking, or whimsical.
My experience as a mother and grandmother inspire me to create items that are also functional and practical.
My product lines include my best-selling boutique oven mitts as well as baby bibs and blankets, handbags, totes and zip pouches, children's clothing, rag dolls and soft toys, and home dec items -- pillow covers, buntings, rag rugs, seasonal items...and more.
All items are handcrafted to be durable and practical. My boutique oven mitts, for example, include three separate layers of batting sandwiched between high quality cotton prints. The mitts are fully lined with no scratchy seams.
My cotton baby bibs have metal snaps (velcro can catch in baby's fine hair or get fuzzy after repeated washings). The bibs also include an inner layer of preshrunk cotton flannel for extra absorbency.
Custom orders are welcome, EXCEPT during the holiday rush (Dec. 1-25).
LeAnn began sewing at age 4. She was active in 4-H and went on to major in Home Ec. After a 35-year detour to practice law, raise a family, and work as a tax advisor, LeAnn now sews fun and functional fabric items. Motto: Why settle for ordinary?
I'm LeAnn Frobom, empty-nester, semi-retired attorney / legal assistant,, seasonal tax advisor, and fabric fanatic. You can find me on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/pasqueflowercreations, or on Twitter: @lfrobom.
I now live in Lincoln, NE, with my retired librarian hubby. Our children and grandchildren are the joys of my life, and inspire my playful use of colorful fabrics in my carefully handcrafted fabric items.
Why is my shop called Pasque Flower Creations? I was born and raised in South Dakota, and the prairie pasque is the SD state flower. It’s one of the first flowers to appear in Spring, my favorite season, and it’s purple, my favorite color. And it’s stubborn and hardy, defying snow and the last gasps of Winter to break out and bloom.
I offer an eclectic assortment of gift ideas: boutique oven mitts, bibs, doll quilts, linen clutches, zip pouches, key fobs, buntings, colorful walker caddies--and more! Coming soon: doll quilts and hand twined rugs. I use high quality designer cottons and linens.
