Handmade Journals

I'm Patrycja, creator of Patiak. I graduated at art high school on specialize in textile art.
How I start making a journals?
It was started when I was at art high school, in there I attended to classes of textile art. On classes I get to know about different techniques of textile art. The most I liked a batik. One day I needed a notebook for daily use. I couldn't find a journal which I wanted. I had an idea to make the notebook for myself. Then I start making a journals for my friends as a gift, it was a special unusual gifts. I made a decision to making this for a lot of people. I wanted to divide a beautiful journals.
Art is my life, everyday I have to create something. I like linking the colors or finding a good form (I love a particular circle :)).
I like the books and their smell. When I buy it the first I have to do is smelling the paper inside.
Sometimes I have a design but not always. Then I bring a tools and making it, I allow to creating flow by me. Mostly I inspired by nature. I love a microscopic photography of tissues.
I also love looking on the night sky on the stars or full moon.
I want to link antique style with colors. It is important to me to create things with soul. I put my heart into every piece of journals. I hope you feel that.
When I finish a journal it is not enough. You start creating the way. You write in your thoughts, notes, stories, drawings and whatever you want. When the journal fill up, the art is complete done :)
