This scarf is wonderfully soft, and exceptionally beautiful. I love it, and look forward to wearing it often.

It's even prettier than the picture. I'm sure I'll be ordering another one of your creations in the future. Thank you.

Hand-dyed goods from a humble home studio in Austin, TX

Patient – Dyeing takes a lot of patience. From stirring colors to waiting for projects to finish soaking in the dye.

Peony – It is one of my favorite flowers. Gorgeous both as a bud and as a fully-bloomed flower.

You will see a few different techniques in my work. I’m inspired by a Japanese dyeing technique called shibori. It was used thousands of years ago to dye kimonos and is based on carefully folding, wrapping, twisting, or stitching the fabric before dyeing. I also love ice dyeing which involves placing ice on the fabric, sometimes carefully arranged and sometimes not, and then sprinkling the dye on top. It adds another layer of unpredictability and beauty as the ice melts and the dyes combine. You will also see lots of classic hippy dippy tie die patterns.

I live in Austin, TX and dye in my home studio. I’m a lifelong crafter and DIYer, but dyeing has quickly become one of my favorite creative outlets.

All my items are washed many times before they come to you. However, it is still best to wash separately just in case. Sarongs have been treated to better withstand sea water, sun, and extra washing.
