Pattern & Posy is a brand of handmade, block printed products by surface pattern designer and printmaker Carrie Narducci (that's me). I design, print and sew all of my products.
The main place I sell my work is Pike Place Market in Seattle and I've sold over 16,000 items to people from all over the world!
I started my Etsy shop in 2007, three years after graduating from Cornish College of the Arts. After a lot of experimenting over the years I eventually made my way back to my love of textiles and printmaking.
Each design starts out with an idea or mental visual image. I then research, take photos and make lots of sketches. Eventually I land on the right combination of drawings and transfer to a block made of an eco-friendly material. A relief print is then made on the fabric or paper.
Creating products that are eco-friendly and USA made is very important to me. I purchase fabric, ink and other materials that are made in the USA and are friendly to the environment whenever possible.
