Sono un collezionista senza speranza di modelli. Ricordo di essere andato al negozio dell'usato locale con mia nonna alla tenera età di otto anni. Lì ordinavamo i modelli per trovare qualcosa che potesse usare per insegnarmi a cucire e che potessi indossare quando avevamo finito. Da quel momento in poi ero perdutamente innamorata del cucito e dei modelli.
Con il passare degli anni, la mia collezione è cresciuta. Ho raccolto più della mia giusta quota nel corso degli anni. Molti modelli sono stati acquistati a causa dell'ispirazione che mi hanno fornito per progetti di cucito o mi hanno ricordato mia nonna o mia madre (che è anche un'appassionata di cucito). Molti modelli, tuttavia, sono rimasti inutilizzati.
Quando ho iniziato una famiglia, era necessario ridurre il numero di modelli a livelli gestibili e utilizzabili. Ho iniziato Pattern Memories come un modo per condividere i modelli che trovo nei negozi dell'usato e poter comunque godermi le bellissime buste di modelli.
Adoro anche l'idea dei modelli di riproduzione. Ho iniziato a creare modelli di riproduzione in modo che altri possano condividere grandi modelli del passato da libri e volantini difficili da trovare o costosi da acquistare. Ho accumulato una piccola collezione di modelli vintage all'uncinetto e a maglia e sono sempre alla ricerca di libri di artigianato vintage che posso riprodurre e condividere.
Raccogliere modelli che ti ricordino il passato, cucire quel look di moda che è tornato di moda, o semplicemente voler fare qualcosa di diverso e unico è importante. Sfoglia e acquista spesso, nuovi modelli vengono continuamente aggiunti per la condivisione con te.

I am a hopeless collector of patterns. I remember going to the local thrift store with my grandmother at the tender age of eight. There we would sort through the patterns to find something that she could use to teach me to sew and that I could wear when we were done. I was hopelessly in love with sewing and patterns from then on.
As the years past, my collection grew. I have collected more than my fair share over the years. Many patterns have been purchased because of the inspiration they have provided me for sewing projects or have reminded me of my grandma or mom (who is also a sewing enthusiast). Many patterns however, have gone unused.
When I started a family, decreasing the number of patterns to manageable and usable levels was needed. I started Pattern Memories as a way to share the patterns I find in thrift shops and still be able to enjoy the beautiful pattern envelopes.
I also love the idea of reproduction patterns. I started creating reproduction patterns so others can share great patterns from the past from books and leaflets that are hard to find or expensive to buy. I have amassed a small collection of vintage crochet and knitting patterns and am always on the look out for vintage craft books that I can reproduce and share.
Gathering patterns that remind you of the past, sew that fashion look that has come back in style, or just wanting to make something that is different and unique is important. Browse and buy often, new patterns are continuously added for sharing with you.
