Welcome to Patterns From Grandma! Here I sell vintage sewing and knitting patterns from the 1930s to today, as well as other vintage craft and sewing supplies.
Many of my patterns have truly come from the personal collection of my 103 year-old grandmother, who doesn't sew much these days and so is glad to see her old patterns pass into hands who will use them.
Do you need assistance working with a vintage pattern? Perhaps one of these links may help - just copy and paste them into your address bar:

About PatternsFromGrandma
My Shop's Story
I started my Etsy shop after my grandmother, who was in her nineties at the time, gifted me with a few dozen sewing patterns which she wouldn't use again. Although the patterns weren't ones I would use myself, I was excited to think that someone, somewhere, could take these wonderful pieces of fashion history and turn them into something new.
I love handling and working with these old patterns, because it's so interesting wondering who owned them first, and for what special occasion they were made up. And of course, it's fun to think that perhaps they will once again be used to create something special for someone today!
I also enjoy seeing the artwork on the envelopes, and how it has changed from era to era. As a society, our ideas of what is beautiful and fashionable certainly have changed as the years have gone by. Although, I find that every style that has passed by has its own special charm.
I am pleased to be able to offer vintage knitting books in my shop now as well, after my dear grandmother offered me several stacks of them. Some of the knitting patterns from the 40s and 50s are so glamorous!

Owner
I am a homeschooling mom of 4, and I live on a 3 acre homestead in southern Ontario with my husband. We have a sweet cat named Josephine and too many chickens to count. I do sew, but not nearly as often as I'd like.

Payment
I will cancel the sale and relist any items if payment has not gone through after 3 days. Thank you for understanding.
Shipping
Depending on the weight of the pattern, I will either ship them as an oversized letter, or as Small Packet, airmail. Both of these methods of shipping can take two weeks for delivery to the US, or longer for other countries. If you need your pattern sooner than that, contact me before ordering and I can arrange for a different method of shipment. I will then adjust the shipping charges accordingly.
Please note that all customers outside Canada are responsible for all fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping to their respective countries.
