BOTANICALS FOR BEAUTIFUL OCCASIONS
Hi there! I'm so happy that you found my shop.
For my Etsy business, I grow and wild craft lavender and other botanicals that I use to make sweet bouquets and arrangements for love parties--weddings, showers, and other celebratory events. I am passionate about what I do and I’m so happy I get to share my love of plants with so many lovers (we're all lovers, aren't we?)
To me, environment is everything in matters of happiness and health. I grow my lavender and other plants on a 20 acre farm at the junction of the Flathead and Clark Fork Rivers a few miles from the small town of Paradise, Montana. It’s a lovely place with a dramatic landscape of rock formations, farmland and rivers. All of the things that sustain a good life are here. We have especially clean water, good air, healthy soil, a moderate climate, and a wild landscape. Our greatest blessings are the incredibly creative, smart, talented and fun people we get to work with—YAY! (see the Bios on my co-workers.)
I am blessed that my work life includes my family, friends, animals, farm and home. Farming naturally requires community and I’ve always loved making things from what I grow to share with those I care about. I think part of that is because both of my parents came from generations of farm families so I have gardening and making in my genes. It seems that the things that bring me the most happiness are also part of my family history and traditions—appreciation for nature, art, gardening, cooking, sewing, celebrations and community.
I believe that my work is an opportunity to express how I feel about life. Working with the elements of nature makes me feel deeply connected. I approach my flower making as an art process. Every piece that I create is a consideration of design, materials, form, color, texture, fragrance, and pleasure. Flowers and other plant parts are in everything I make. It matters to me that I spend my time doing something that creates happiness—for me and others.
I especially love growing and using lavender because it’s so beautiful and healing to the senses--I even enjoy weeding as the scent is released as I work. At harvest, it is a peak experience of fragrance, color, bee hum, sun, friends chatting, and farm lunches--oh, my! While my studio is usually creative chaos, it smells heavenly:) Lavender is amazing and magic—transformative and soothing.
I hope that you enjoy looking through my shop— Let me know if you have questions or if I can send you a pretty bouquet or two. I love working directly with my customers. Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
I love Custom Orders but they require more time--right now allow at least 6 weeks from order date to ship date.
Storing Dried Flowers
Dried Lavender and other flowers should be stored wrapped up and re-sealed in the shipping box and kept in a cool and dark space--away from direct light or heat sources:)
