paulajeansgarden's Shop Policies
Thank you for visiting my Garden Shop.
I am thankful for my shop on Etsy and I am excited to be part of this "heart and hands" community. It is an honor to be able to help with your wedding or anniversary plans or to send a gift package out to someone who needs a little extra lavender love. I'm crazy about lavender too and I'm especially happy when working in the garden or studio making things. Please communicate with me if you have any special requests, concerns or questions.
I accept Paypal as payment in my shop. If you'd like to use your credit card rather than a Paypal account, you can select Paypal as your method of payment in the Etsy checkout and then click on the green "Pay with Paypal" button, and follow the steps to pay with your credit card. You will follow the Prompts that say--Don't Have a Paypal Account? You don't have to have a Paypal account to pay with a credit card.
Here's some more help with that:
Are you new to Etsy? Here's a guide that will take you through the steps to making your first purchase:
SHIPPING AND PRODUCTION TIMING
Most Items List the PRODUCTION TIME/Shipping Times in the Listing. Specific shipping information is found in most of my listings--click on the SHIPPING tab in the listing you are interested in. Business Days are M-F so take that into account when ordering. For custom orders, please ask about shipping timing and available shipping dates because it will depend on the time required to make your item. I make many of my products like lavender bouquets and wreaths once they are ordered--lavender smells best when it has been recently handled so time is required to make your item.
Please feel free to contact me with special requests. At present, I am accepting CUSTOM ORDERS that can ship 4 weeks or longer from ORDER placement. If it is an item that is found in my shop and that would require minor customization, please contact me for further information--simple substitutions can generally ship per the time in the listing if I have your requested material in stock:)
I include the cost of my packaging expenses and materials in the shipping and packaging charge. The real cost of shipping can be substantial. I want you to know that I want your shipping costs to be as economical and environmentally thoughtful as possible--while ensuring that your package gets there looking like it did when I made it for you. Most of my packages mailed in the U.S. INCLUDE shipping insurance.♥
Please advise me if you would like me to mail your item to any address other than the one on your Etsy account. If I don't have other instructions, I will use your Etsy shipping address. Do check your shipping address--you can do that by going to YOUR ACCOUNT and then SETTINGS and then to the ADDRESSES tab. In general, I ship first class USPS or priority mail depending on weight, but will be glad to ship Priority Mail, next-day mail or International Mail or with insurance at cost if we can work out a ship time agreement. If you'd like to make sure that insurance is included in your purchase, please check with me--I can add insurance to any listing before or after you purchase:)
Welcome International buyers! Please do check your own countries rules for customs and duties to make sure you are able to import my products. Buyers are responsible for custom charges that may be incurred and for making sure that you can import my products.
Please let me know if you are not from the U.S. when asking for a quote or information about timing. All quotes are in U.S. $.
International Shipping is a bit mysterious but if you live outside the U.S. I will be glad to give you a shipping quote. I will quote First Class or Priority International mail depending on the package particulars but it will get there quicker if you have it shipped Priority. Of course, timing after it is shipped depends on the Post Office and distance. So far, I've had very good results shipping Internationally.
Tracking is now available for many International shipments. If you would like Insurance added or expedited shipping, convo a request for extra shipping and insurance info and I will reply with cost information. Again, please check with the import authorities in your country to make sure the item you are purchasing is allowed:)
Refunds and Exchanges
I aim to please. Please communicate with me if you have any concerns. I want you to be happy that you bought flowers from my shop and farm.
Additional Policies and FAQs
My lavender work is all done by hand. I grew my field from seed (Munstead and Hidcote English Lavender) and cuttings(Grosso French Lavender.) I harvest every year (with help from family and friends) by hand cutting thousands of lavender bunches and then hanging them to dry from the rafters in my shop (that is quite a sight and fragrance.) Once dried, bouquets and bunches are made by rearranging the lavender flower stems and re-tying the lavender with ribbon, hemp, or cotton ties. I prepare the lavender flower buds by removing the buds from the stems, screening and sifting the lavender flowers and then hand picking to remove the remaining stems and leaves. I make lavender wreaths from my dried lavender bunches that I hand arrange and attach to a conventional wreath form. I make bouquets, boutonnieres, wreaths, sachets, eye pillows, packages of bulk culinary and craft lavender and use lavender every day in my work, in one form or another. Working with lavender is a labor intensive but joyful process. I hope that you enjoy it just as much as I do when you receive your handmade lavender product.
