Stitching happiness
I grew up crafty, thanks to lots of DIY relatives, and began to hand-sew at age 8, graduating to a machine at age 13. After simultaneous retirement from teaching and discovering Etsy, I started sewing and selling handbags at the suggestion of my husband, but it wasn't until after the birth of my granddaughter that I began to design and sew purses and totes for the younger set. I'd found a niche and have been happily stitching little bags ever since!
When it comes down to it, making things makes me happy. Very happy. In fact, I find it very much like therapy. If you're a maker, you know exactly what I mean!
